An Apprenticeship is a job with vocational training attached; which means that you to work towards a qualification as you earn. WHAT IS AN APPRENTICESHIP?An Apprenticeship is a job with vocational training attached; which means that you to work towards a qualification as you earn. Learning takes place ‘on the job’ as well as at regular college sessions outside of the workplace.

What qualification will I be working towards?

Depending which ‘pathway’ you choose you will be working towards a Level 2 Certificate in either: Community Arts; Community Arts Administration;Venue Operations; or Technical Theatre.

STEP 2:Once you’ve done this, search for the name of your preferred pathway and select the apprenticeship that you wish to apply for.

ANY TIPS BEFORE I APPLY?Jobs and apprenticeships in theatre are extremely competitive, we expect to have hundreds of applications for just a small number of opportunities available; so you need to make sure that you stand out from the crowd.

Don’t let that put you o!, because we’re not necessarily looking for people who have loads of skills and experience already, what we’re really looking for are people who are creative, committed and really passionate.

WHAT IF I’M NOT SUCCESSFUL?First of all, don’t worry. This isn’t the end of the road for your dreams of a career in the theatre.
