Academic Work

Senior Project: Robotic Telepresence Device Fall 2014 – Spring 2015

An immunosuppressed grade school student required a more immersive way of telecommuting to class

On a team of 4, my responsibility was designing, manufacturing, and iterating the chassis for the device.

Senior Project: Crowd Sourced Recycling

Fall 2014 – Spring 2015

In recognizing the vast amount of CA refund for CRV that goes unclaimed, we decided to create a community sourced program in which all proceeds would be returned via community project/donation.

As production manager, I was responsible for organizing and improving on the methods for recycling collection and processing.

Engineering World Health Design Competition Winter 2013 – Spring 2013

Goal: Create a cheaper, more effective glucose testing device that can be manufactured locally in a third world nation.

Lead a group of 6 engineering students through a rigorous research phase

Relevant Coursework Experience Computer Skills: CAD, MATLAB, computer networking, embedded system design, Microsoft Excel (macros

included), pSpice, National Instruments LabView, COMSOL, Abaqus, Powerlab, ImageJ, and Minitab

Lab Work: ECG/EEG data collection, EEG circuit design, neuropotential simulation, microbial staining and cultivation, spectrophotometry, aseptic techniques, statistical data collection and analysis, respiratory system analysis, and rapid prototyping.

Leadership Experience

Engineering World Health Organization, Cal Poly Chapter:

President January 2013 – June 2014

Collaborated with the rest of the team members to ensure all tasks are well-staffed and on time Execute necessary behind the scenes tasks such as working with professors and deans, ordering building

supplies, and providing direction in leadership meetings.

Relevant Employment Experience

Graded Potential: Tutor

January 2014 – June 2015

Work one-on-one with Cal Poly and Cuesta students to supplement their in-class learning.

Each quarter I would have about 4-5 students for 1 to 5 hours a week.

Subjects: Chemistry, Physics, Statics, Dynamics, Calculus, Statistics, and Linear Analysis

Objective: To gain experience participating in the design or manufacturing of medical devices. While I am most interested in

neurodiagnostic devices, I am always open to learning about new technologies or processes.
