Dear tenant,

You have just signed the tenancy agreement and received the keys to your new apartment.

These regulations form an integral part of the tenancy agreement as concluded by you,

concerning the apartments at Leeghwaterstraat nr. 41, apartmentnumber 001 -279, Delft.

Use of galleries

It is important that galleries remain clear of obstacles since they constitute escape routes. Empty galleries are part of the fire instructions. If objects are found on the galleries, you will be invited only once to remove these. Should you neglect to do so these will be removed at your cost. Regular inspections take place.

The apartment

Your apartment is completely furnished. Please be careful when using the inventory goods so we are not forced to charge you for any damages or cleaning costs when leaving the apartment.

You are not allowed to paint or change any part of the apartment or inventory.

Drilling holes in walls is not allowed. Neither is hanging posters by means of adhesive tape. All resulting damage will be charged to your account and offset against the deposit paid by you.

Sanitary equipment

You have to clean your apartment yourself. Besides dusting and vacuuming the apartment, please take care of the following as well, because otherwise this could lead to the obstruction of drains, causing annoyance to yourself and your fellow residents:

keep toilet and kitchen clean!

remove hairs and traces of soap from shower and washbasins directly after use

make sure that your cooker is switched off when you are not using it or when you leave

use only pans suitable for induction cooking

Extra persons

The over night stay of more persons in the apartment is not allowed. DUWO and its authorized staff reserves the right to enter residents apartments at all times if they suspect this. It is allowed to have visitors during the day of course.Internet

For using the internet you need a password. Students (of TU Delft) can apply for such a password at DTO, Michiel de Ruyterweg 12, tel. 015-2782000.

RubbishThe garbage can be disposed in one of the grey containers at the main stairs in front of the building. Bottles and other forms of glass refuse can be deposited in the containers near the supermarkets.

Vermin

Should you detect vermin (cockroaches etc) in your apartment or in the common rooms/corridors, please report this to the caretaker without delay. You can also call the Short Stay Housing Department of DUWO, tel. 015-2192200

Noise disturbance

Noise disturbance from neighbours or other people can be a nuisance. As many inhabitants are living close to one another it is therefore necessary to take account of each other.

With regard to the entire building silence is required between 11.00 pm and 08.00 am.

If you find yourself being troubled by someone, it is suggested you have a talk with that person. Please do so as soon as you are calm. If you should not be able to reach an agreement you can contact Short Stay Housing Department of DUWO, at phone number 015 - 2192200

Laundry and dryersThe laundry and dryer room is located on the ground floor. Your apartment key allows to access to this room. Your are requested to lock the room properly after each use.

The washingmachines and dryers can only be used by means of a special chipcard.

If you wish to obtain such a chipcard, please come to the office of DUWO. You are requested to bring

20,- deposit as well as proof of identity (a pasport or driving licence).

The chipcard is loaded for five uses of the washing machine and five uses of the dryer.

Your deposit of 20,- will be paid back at the offices of DUWO when you return your chipcard at the end of your stay.

At our office its possible to reload your chipcard for the use of the washingmachines and the dryers. The use of the washingmachine will cost you 2,00 and for the dryer 1,00 each time.You are allowed to use these room until 10.00 pm , to avoid disturbance.

Its not allowed to place a washingmachine, dryer or refrigerator in your apartment. The rent payment is all inclusive and doesnt include the costs of using a washingmachine, dryer or refrigerator.

Burglary

Unfortunately, burglaries in the complex sometimes occur. We would therefore provide you with the following tips:

When going out, always turn your door key twice to apply your night lock.

Make sure your windows are closed.

Take care that you do not make your absence too obvious.

Do not leave valuables in full view.

Take the label off your keys, but make sure you keep the label. At the end of your stay we like to receive labeled keys.

Alert the police when you notice something suspicious.

Keys

Should you lose your key, come to our office at Marlotlaan 5. A replacement can be ordered on payment of 20. Do not label your key, as this would make it necessary to change the cylinders as well, including those of other apartments, which would result in huge costs on your account. If you lock yourself out so that we have to open your apartment that will cost you about 40.
