MMA UGC-NET TRAINING FOR ASPIRING TEACHING PROFESSIONALS
Becoming a teaching professional is a passion for many. It is driven by the
positive attitude of being in the service of transferring knowledge and skills and
also transforming the lives of the young minds and brains, who are the pillars
and future of any society.
Today, for becoming a teaching professional in Higher Education one is
required to have been qualified not only academically but also should have
cleared the competitive National Eligibility Test (NET), being conducted by
the University Grants Commission (UGC), of the Ministry of Education
(hitherto MHRD).
UGC has been conducting the NET examinations, twice in a calendar year
through ONLINE mode. The examinations have two Papers - Paper 1, which is
common for all the registered candidates and Paper 2 consists of different
branches / streams of study based on the Master’s program undergone by the
candidates.
MMA with its rich experience in training brings to you a training programme for
teacher/professor aspirants. The training would be in two major streams as
follows:
a) Management
b)Commerce
The comprehensive training would be provided for Paper 2 and also competitive
Paper 1, which is compulsory for all branches / streams of study. Paper 1 is
“General Paper on Teaching & Research Aptitude”. Both the papers have
objective type questions with multiple options.
MMA with its team of academic and training experts will be providing intensive
training in both the papers, by garnering subject matter experts from the
respective fields.
The intensive training program offered by MMA shall be for 2 months
duration, focusing on the key elements and approach required to crack this
competitive examination. Ultimately, every aspirant should have come out of
the NET, successfully!
OVERVIEW
Paper 1 Syllabus
UGC NET Paper 1 is common and compulsory for every candidate. Paper 1 will
have 50 questions worth 100 marks. Paper 1 syllabus has 10 units and exactly 5
questions will be asked from each unit. Detailed syllabus for Paper 1 is described
below.
Paper 2 Syllabus
The subject for paper 2 is chosen by the candidate. Paper 2 will have 100
questions exclusively based on the subject chosen. The detailed syllabus PDF for

The training will consist of intensive coverage as required for Paper 1 and
important subject coverage for Paper 2. In addition, the training will involve
Objective type – Tests, similar to the objective type tests in NET. This is to
prepare the candidates thoroughly with substantial practicals – viz. mock
tests, so that they become ready with full confidence to face the NET
examinations successfully.

SCHEDULE - Online Sessions

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (6.30 pm to 8.30 pm)
Saturdays (3.00 pm to 5.00 pm and 6.30 am to 8.30 pm)
Sunday classes (10.00 am to 12.00 noon)
Mock Tests on Sundays (10.00 am to 1.00 pm)

enhancement of management capability in this part of the country, and in particular
Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. MMA has over 8000 corporate houses, industries,
professionals, academics and executives on its rolls as members. MMA annually
organizes about 700 executive development activities, including seminars for top
management with a total participation of fifty nine thousand executives and entrepreneurs.
MMA is the largest affiliate association of All India Management Association (AIMA) in
the country and has been adjudged as the Best Management Association in India by
AIMA for eleven times in a row including the “National Excellence Award” for the year
2017-18.
The activities of MMA are planned to achieve managerial excellence in the functioning
of industries and professional managers in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. In this direction,
MMA chapters have been established at various towns in Tamil Nadu mainly to cater to
the needs of SMEs. Nine such MMA Local Chapters at Ambur, Attur, Erode, Hosur,
Namakkal, Salem, Sri City, Trichy and Puducherry are functioning effectively.
Apart from corporate leaders, MMA has, in its Managing Committee, the Vice
Chancellors of Madras University & Anna University, the Directors of IIT Madras and
IFMR and the Chief Secretary, Government of Tamilnadu, as members.

FACULTY PROFILE
Dr. S. Vasudevan, B.Sc., MA, FCMA, CMA (USA), PGDYN, Ph.D has combined experience as an
academician and as corporate functional head for over three decades in multi-faceted organizations that
include Central Government, Corporate organizations and Educational Institutions. He had held senior
positions as Executive Director of a listed public limited company and also as Dean of a Business School.
He had held positions as Member of Board of Studies, Academic Council, Finance Committee and
Management Committee of a University based in Tamil Nadu. He is presently holding responsibility as
Director-Business Development of the Institute of Analytics (USA)™.
Dr. Kausalya R M.Sc, MBA, B.Ed, Ph.D is a self-determined person who is fond of numbers. She was a
statistician with the Indian Council of Medical Research until 1998. From 2001 to 2018, she was a
Professor and subsequently, Head of the Dept. of Mathematics and Deputy Controller of Examinations,
with Bharath University, Chennai. Since 2018, she has been a visiting faculty in the M.B.A department at
the ITM Business School, Chennai. She has also conducted multiple Faculty Development Programmes at
Universities in Tamilnadu to guide lecturers on the most effective teaching methods for statistical concepts.
Her uniqueness is to make students to work and solve any complicated problems through understanding
the concepts and solving without calculator using easy Vedic maths techniques.
Mr. Ramesh Raman, M.Com, CAIIB, IRDA (Life Insurance) is an ex-Banker and Corporate Trainer. He is a
Ex-Banker, specialized in Trade Finance Operations. He now heads Raman Business Ventures Pvt Ltd,
Chennai as Director. The Company is engaged in Training, Education and Consultancy Services for the past
5 years.
Ramesh has good work experience of 26 years across 8 organizations and an additional 11 years as a
Corporate Trainer, delivering training programs of about 10,000+ hours to more than 20 banks and
corporates in India and overseas.

Dr. R. Senthamarai MCA, MBA, M.Tech, Ph.D is the Dean-Academics & Training, Institute of Analytics

articles, books, an entrepreneur by choice and a philanthropist by nature. He is Founder & CEO , MIND BIZ
Projects & Training Pvt., Ltd. Visiting Faculty – IIM-B, IIM-K, MSME TN , MMA, CII. Project Executive and
Technical expert in Finance Projects ,Touch & Spouse UK, 14 years. He was Country Head – SAP

Mr. Ravi VNRN, BE, MBA, a Senior professional with over 30 years of experience in Supply Chain
Management at various levels in IT manufacturing, ITES and Telecom industries. Experienced in areas of
Procurement, Inventory Management, Logistics, Quality Management, Production, People management,
Competency development and Sustainable practices. An Electronics Engineer with MBA in Technology
Management and PGD in Environment and Sustainable Development. Qualified for Assistant Professor in
Management by UGC-NET. Have conducted Competency development programs to corporate personnel
on several topics and given guest lectures to MBA students in Chennai.
Mr. Rakesh Shankar Ravisankar FCMA, ACA, M-CIPFA - Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost
Accountants of India and Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, UK.
Currently serving as Assistant Professor in PG & Research Department of Commerce of DG Vaishnav
College, Chennai. Having a decade of academic experience coupled with Professional and industry
expertise he has been nominated to the Internal Auditing and Assurance Standards Board of the Institute.
He Holds a Masters in Commerce, Management, Economics, Tamil Literature and qualified for the NET of
UGC in Commerce & Management. Has delivered a wide range of lectures at educational institutions and
professional bodies and is also certified Trainer for GST Course and Ind AS. Has been contributing articles
in the area of professional opportunities, new education policy.
Ms. Subha is a certified Cost Accountant. She has rich experience in teaching Accountancy and Taxation
subjects to students of UG, PG and Professional courses including CA, CMA and ACS. As Assistant
Professor (Commerce) in AM Jain College, Meenambakkam, she has been handling key accountancy and
taxation courses. She has passed NET and SET examinations for Lecturership in Commerce. As a Visiting
Faculty for in B Schools and she handles Corporate Finance and Taxation subjects for students of PGDM
and Executive MBA. She also trains academicians and NET aspirants to crack NET and SET examinations.
Earlier, she served as Lecturer in Polyglot Institute, Muscat teaching students for ACCA examinations. She
has received excellent feedback in all her teaching assignments.
Ms. Hema Pasupatheeswaran, B.L., ACS. is an Advocate and Company Secretary who holds a Post
Graduation Diploma in Arbitration from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. Has nearly 20 years of
experience in the legal department and as Company Secretary with companies across industry, in
Coimbatore and Chennai, Currently working as Head – Legal and Company Secretary of Hemadri Cements
Ltd., a listed, cement manufacturing company in the SRM Group at Chennai. She shows keen interest in
property laws, dispute resolution, Company law especially on legal due diligence, acquisitions and
mergers.
Mr. Arun Bhaskar K MBA, DDS is an enthusiastic facilitator who has helped students and professionals
reach the next level. Arun holds a Master's in Business Administration and has cleared UGC NET in
Management. His interests include People Skills, Organisational Development and Marketing.
Mr. Ramesh Santhanagopalan B.Sc, PGDSM, has 32 years of sales & marketing professional, worked
with MNCs like Fenner, Whirlpool, Electrolux, Panasonic & Jarden (USA), with expertise in Channel Sales,
Distribution network, Marketing, Key Accounts handling, E-commerce, Team Management, New product

Mr. Ramakrishna Venkatraman M.Sc. is a post-graduate in Mathematics and currently employed as
adjunct faculty in Educational Institutions. He has over twenty years of experience in teaching as a teacher
and trainer. He has been teaching in Schools and Engineering Colleges pan India and created careers for
thousands of students.
Mr. Manigandan K BSc, MBA, PGDCA, PMP, is a PMP certified Delivery Manager with 25+ years
experience in handling culturally diverse customers across globe with top of the line Experience in BFSI,
SCM with relevant certifications and close to 15 years experience in mentoring and training candidates for
various recruitment board exams (RRB LIC, IBPS, CAT etc.). He has have conducted guest lectures for
MBM students for BSRB exams andcross trained resources in multiple technologies and domains in his
previous organizations. Besides the regular academic qualifications he has multiple certifiations in various
domains such as JAIIB from Indian Institute of Bankers , Associate (AIII) from Insurance Institute of India,
