Dear Friends,

On behalf of American Telugu Association (ATA), it is my honor and privilege to invite

you all to the upcoming 9th ATA Conference and Youth Convention to be held on June 30 –

July 2, 2006 at Long Beach Convention Center, Los Angeles, California.

These biennial ATA mega conferences have become milestones in the history of ATA.

Several committees have been formed and they are all working hard to make this a successful

event. Some of the activities planned include: Literary Competitions, Alumni Reunions, Panel Discussions, Vindu Bhojanams, Continuing Medial Education (CME), Family Forum,

Health Awareness Seminars, Various Cultural and Spiritual Activities, Competitions in

Dance, Drama, Music and Songs, Kavi Sammnelanam, Exhibits/Booths etc etc. Youth Programs are being planned carefully.

Local attractions in and around Long Beach include Queen Mary, Disneyland, Aquarium

of the Pacific, Universal Studios, Long Beach Marina, Catalina Island, Sea World, etc. June

30, 06 Friday night is banquet night. July 1, 06 Saturday and July 2, 06 Sunday, we will have

programs starting 8am until midnight.

This will be an excellent opportunity for you all to have family reunions, Alumni

reunions, taste the Telugu culture, meet and great Telugus from all over the world, etc. Our

hospitality committee is eager to make your trip a memorable one. Conference registration

Dear Friends,

On behalf of ATA Board, 9th ATA Conference Organizing Team I take great pleasure in inviting all

our Telugu families to attend the mega biannual Telugu conference to be held in Long Beach,

California this year on June 30th, July 1

st and 2

nd. This conference is the first for Los Angeles area

under ATA leadership. The conference preparations are moving briskly. All chairpersons are putting

their best efforts to bring out a great conference.

The Conference will begin with Awards Banquet Night on June 30th Friday 6:30 pm.

After the awards the attendees will be entertained by singers Gangadhar, Vijayalakshmi from India and

Radhika of Chicago accompanied by LA area local singers.

On July 1st the inaugural session will be highlighted by inaugural song sung by Gangadgar Shastry

with a participation of over 40 artists from San Francisco and Los Angeles areas. Cultural Activities

will begin soon after lunch along with Spiritual Activities, Panel discussions, literary sessions, Family

forums, Alumni Association gatherings CME Sessions and Youth Activities etc.

The Telugu Cine field will be well represented at the conference lead by Mega Star Padmabhushan

Chiranjeevi accompanied by Ravi Teja, Srikanth, Suneel, Ali and Shiva Reddy. Musical Night

presented by the leading Music director Mani Sharma will charm the audience on July 2nd.

Swami Chidatmananda, Swami Paramahansa Nityananda, Sri Matrushri Karunamai Ma and Shri

Vishwamji Maharaj will bless the Spiritual Activities.

The conference attendees will be feasted with Telugu Vindu Bojanamulu. I request every Telugu

family to register early to help us in estimating the number of meals we have to plan on serving. I

guarantee every one of you that this conference will be a grand one. So please hurry to sign up.

Dear Fellow Telugus,

Hope you had a happy and healthy Ugadi.

The preparations for 9th ATA Conference and Youth Convention are going at full speed under the

leadership of our president, Dr. Mohan Mallam, and convener, Mr. Dharma Reddy. As you all know, a conference

of this size needs a lot of personal help and financial need from all of you. We welcome any of your suggestions in

this matter.

We have come a long way in accomplishing quite a few major tasks with the help of our co-convener, Mr.

Butchi Reddy, local coordinator, Mr. Lakshman Koka, secretary, Mr. Mallik Banda, and all the committee chairs and

its members.

The success of our conference depends on your participation and financial strength. We still have ways to

go to increase our number of registrations and collect more donations for the success of this conference. Thanks to

Greetings from the beautiful Sunny Southern California - Home of our 9th ATA Conference and youth convention to be held from June 30th through July 2nd, 2006 at the Long Beach Convention Center.

Friends, we have been eagerly waiting to show our fellow Telugu's across the country and across the sea's our Telugu Hospitality. It has been almost a decade since we had a National Telugu Conference/convention in our fun city. For the past several years we have been building our infrastructure to Host you people.
