POSEIDON GUARDIAN OF ATLANTIS

Poseidon, Guardian of Atlantis. For thousands of years Poseidon has carefully guarded the secrets of Atlantis. As he watches over his underwater kingdom, he keeps Atlantis carefully hidden inside his throne. Many have tried to fi nd the origins of Atlantis, but as long as Poseidon rules the oceans, it’s secrets are safe from the human race. He is made up from 25,000 Lego elements. There are 20 animated minifi gures powered with Lego Power Functions motors. The mermaids swim and sway as the ruler of Atantis, Spongebob Squarepants looks on from inside his clam shell.

Poseidón, guardián de la Atlántida. Durante miles de años, Poseidón ha protegido cuidadosamente los secretos de la Atlántida. Mientras vigila su reino submarino, mantiene la Atlántida escondida en su trono. The third and fi nal piece from this series began during the Japanese tsunami and nuclear disaster which served to inspire the mud theme. Here we have a peculiar house with an old refrigerator perched on the roof and a house surrounded by mud.

La tercera y última pieza de esta serie la empecé durante el tsunami japonés y el desastre nuclear, que me sirvió para inspirarme con el barro. Aquí tenemos una casa peculiar con una vieja nevera en el tejado y una casa rodeada de lodo.

RIALTO BRIDGE VENICE

Probably the most visited and most photographed bridge in Venice, (Ponte di Rialto) opened in 1591, connecting the districts of San Polo and San Marco. The bridge is formed by two inclined ramps covered by a portico with shops on either side. This area has long been a market place for Venetians and Tourists.I chose to build this Bridge because not only is it interesting, but the surrounding area tells a story as well. It took around three months and 65,000 pieces to complete.

Probablemente el puente de Venecia más visitado y fotografi ado sea el Puente de Rialto, inaugurado en 1591, que une los barrios de San Polo y San Marco. El puente está formado por dos pendientes que están cubiertas por un pórtico con tiendas a ambos lados. Esta zona se ha convertido en un mercado para los venecianos y los turistas.Escogí hacer este puente no solo porque es interesante, sino porque la zona que lo rodea también tiene su propia historia. Tardé unos tres meses y necesité 65,000 piezas para terminarlo.

The Minions are characters from a popular movie that I personally like a lot as well as my children. I created 12 types of minions and here I show you two of them. The eyes and mouth are the main features of this work, because it is what gives realism to the characters.

The seed for this project was planted the very fi rst time we met. We both enjoy building castles, both historic and fantastical, and we decided to build Rivendell together as we are both tremendous Tolkien fans. We planned the layout quite carefully and included scenes from both The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. Rivendell is built on 32 large baseplates and is built from approximately 200,000 bricks, including about 10,000 small slopes to create the patterns on the roofs.

La semilla de este proyecto se plantó nada más conocernos. Ambos disfrutamos construyendo castillos, tanto históricos como fantásticos, y decidimos hacer Rivendel porque los dos somos grandes fans de Tolkien. Preparamos el diseño con mucho cuidado e incluimos escenas tanto de El Hobbit como de El señor de los anillos. Construimos Rivendel sobre treinta y dos placas base grandes y utilizamos aproximadamente 200,000 ladrillos, incluyendo cerca de 10,000 pequeñas pendientes para crear los tejados.
