Web-based Review - Two External Reviewers - Internal Staff Scientists
A single proposal can support multiple experiments. The number of experiments and period of time over which a proposal remains in effect will be determined by each individual user program.
External reviewers will only have access to the proposal submission, not the description of a specific experiment. In particular, information such as details about a proprietary experimental technique will not be made available to external reviewers.
If external review(s) are late…
If users are new users…
…the MagLab may award magnet time based on internal reviews alone…
…and require the User Committee to provide external review of the proposal at its next meeting.
Annual User Committee meeting will assume additional responsibility of ensuring external review of every proposal.
If user requests Rapid Access permission from the MagLab director (or designee), then experiments will be considered for provision of magnet time until the next batch proposal call or annual User Committee meeting provides an opportunity for a formal review of the proposal.
