WELCOME TO MAGNOrSituated right in Scandinavia - Only 3 km from the Swedish border and 100 km from Oslo, we are creating magic from fire and sand!Magnor Glassverk was founded in 1896. We are proud of our history, yet, dedicatet to remaining on innovator in the industry. Each year we launch two new collections. In collaboration with some of the best designers and artists in Norway and Sweden. We want to create glass and crystal that will generate happiness, enthusiasm and pleasure for generations.

All of our glass products are handmade with great care and affection by skilled craftsmen.

At Magnor Glassverk, we have a factory outlet which is open year round. In the glass hut, you can see glassblowers in action on weekdays. In the summer you can choose to blow your own glass or buy factory seconds at affordable prices.

CAp CLASSIquE is mouth blown and handmade by experienced glassblowers. The series consists of four functional glasses (wine, champagne, water, beer) and a decanter. The simple, timeless and sophisticated shape of the glassware is designed for a perfect experience. Good drinks should be enjoyed using the appro-priate glass; it elevates the mood and will create a sense of luxury. Cap Classique is the perfect glass series for those who appreciate pleasure, function, quality and excellent design. Interior designer Halvor Bakke found his inspiration for the series from his travels to South Africa and the beautiful vineyards. Cap Classique was a natural name after the country’s own champagne, which is known for its wonderful taste.The glasses bear Halvor Bakke’s distinctive signature as proof of prime quality.

ALBA is for those wanting an exclusive and classic stemvare, a functional service that will be passed down for generations, and will always feel “right” - even for the most important of occasions. New for fall 2013 is the following barware: corial, long drink, cognac and whiskey.

Teresa Bergerud got her inspiration for her design from old glassware and handcut patterns. The series consists of: red wine, white wine, champagne and water; perfect in size and design. She has created two beautiful handcut designs: ANTIquE (classic and traditional crystal patterns, a well known Magnor design) and FINE LINE (crisp, tight and modern striped patterns).

GOD JuL is a charming service that caters to the good old Christmas spirit. The glass and porcelain pieces have hand painted golden edges and are decorated with beautiful santa motifs.The Scandinavian Santa is approximately a fist high and can be recognized by his red or gray hat, and long white beard.

We recommend washing dishes by hand due to the gold decoration.

In cooperation with The Munch Museum, Magnor have developed a porcelain series featuring some well known and not so well known lithographs of Edvard Munchs artwork. The series also includes a large glass platter embellished with a lithograph of the Scream.These are officially licensed Munch products.

Here you go, I hope it`s tasty! These are well known words from chef Wenche Andersen. Together with Magnor, she designed a functional and classic series consisting of: two jars with lids, large serving bowl, small sering bowl, platter, and large salad bowl. Fashion designer per Spook designed the series HArLEKIN exclusively for Magnor Glassverk. The HArLEKIN series con-sists of four gorgeos pieces - a glass platter and three porce-lain pieces: mug, dessert plate and dessert bowl. HArLEKIN was inspired by the famous Harlekin figure. The motif creates a young and playful style on both the platter and porcelain pieces.

The vases are hand painted in six trendy and metal-lic varieties; Glam (fully covered in gold silver and copper) and Metallic (translucent in gold, silver and copper). Florist and TV peronality Finn Schjøll designed the vase BOBLEN. The design was inspired by water drops that bead on a leaf after the rain. This is a classic vase, and its wide opening allows for many otions for decorat-ing with flowers. MuLTI is a beautiful and innovative object with multiple functions, designed by Kristine Five Melvær. Multi consists of two-coloured glass bubbles inside the other, the interior of opaque glass and the outer transparent glass. It can be used both as a candle lantern and as a vase. When the sunlight hits the object, it will act as a light sculpture that forms coloured rings on the surface where it is placed. The two bubbles can also be used individually as lamps, vases or containers as jewellery. Multi is blown by experienced glass blow-ers and is delivered in three colour combinations.

VEGA are beautiful and trendy vases with tight shapes and playful colours, designed by industrial designer Ann Viola ulvin. The designer has emphasised tight lines, good function and colours that are clean, light and positive. She finds inspiration from the craft of glassblowing; how the glassblower control the glowing, molten glass, the heat and steam, the muscle power and the glassblowing itself, which is a great part of our culture and tradition. The Vega vases are mouth blown by experienced glassblowers; unique and genuine. Vega can be used as a stand-alone piece or grouped together. They come in three sizes and three colours and are perfect for those who like it simple and classy, while appreciating function, quality and excellent design. All vases are signed as proof of good design.

SEASONS series consists of four beautiful art glass vases designed by Kristine Five Melvær. Nature’s changing colours throughout the year inspire the vases. Spring is inspired by cherry blossoms and fresh green leaves against a clear sky. Summer is diving into the blue sea and shows seaweed on the bottom and the waves lapping at the surface. Autumn shows golden leaves that gradually covers the green ground. Winter interprets the snow that descends and covers the ground. The vases can stand alone or together. By changing the vases after season, they can act as a cal-endar that reflects the seasons outside. Seasons are mouth blown by glassblowers who are proud of their work. Each vase has a unique design; not two are exactly alike.

DEW is a series of glass vases designed by Kristine Five Melvær. The vases are mouth blown by glassblowers who are proud of their work, in sober colours with matte sandblasted stripes. The stripes on the out-side of the glass and the colour of the inside creates shadows that give a unique depth and texture to the otherwise monochrome volume. The vases are available in four colours. The different heights make them look beautiful grouped together. Each vase is unique; not two are exactly alike; precisely this is evidence of genuine handicrafts.

Magnor Glassverk’s designer Teresa Bergerud, has looked back in history and designed the elegant and graceful artistic vase and dish Tid. She has used ancient techniques and created a beautiful vase and dish that has both a retro imprint and a modern form. The many air bubbles create an artistic effect - a vase and a dish for those wanting something unique. Tid is hand crafted in glittering crystal. In this series, known as Sne - the Norwegian word for snow - per Spook is inspired by the chilly elegance of nature. His interpretation of snow allows us to see the dancing of snow crystals magnified into floating particles of gold. Bowls, vases, dishes and wine glasses, -all of which are designed either alone or in combination to gladden both the eye and the hand. All pieces have the designer’s characteristic signature embossed on the underside. Flakes of gold and ice-white in clear crystal.

In response to an inquiry from Wallpaper*, Magnor and product designer øyvind Wyller developed the lamp In Darkness. EDVArD MUNCH ArT BLOCKS

Art blocks made in cooperation with the Munch Museum in Oslo, fea-ture subjects selected in collaboration with the Museum. The motifs are lithographs of Munch`orignial paintings, transferred onto crystal blocks, produced by Magnor, using a unique process.

The large blocks, released in a limited edition of 1000, are numbered and delivered with a certificate of authentication.

These small art blocks, released in unlimited quantity, are the per-fect size for gift giving.

The MuNCH ArT BLOCKS series consists of eighteen blocks,handmade by experienced craftsmen at Magnor Glassverk, a fac-tory with deeply-rooted traditions in the art of glassmaking. AllThe pieces have a unique feel and bear one of Edvard Munch`smotifs and characterstic signature.
