Outlook Client Set Up Manual

Because the Anti-Spam software from the icss.com.cn is stopped working, and icss.com.cn is flooding with junk mail. Now, we ask all employees use MS Outlook to send and receive email.

This document will briefly introduce how to set up account info with outlook 2007 and outlook 2010. also, how to set up Anti-spam.

1. basic set up of outlook(1) Install and start outlook (2) If this is your first-time open outlook, the system

will show wizard about set up email account

(3) click next step choose yes and click next step

(4) choose Microsoft exchange and click next step

(5) Input info and click next step

Notice：choose manually configure server setting or additional server types

(6) choose Internet E-mail

Notice: when set up account, at lease set up chinasofti.com account with

POP3： mail.chinasofti.com；SMTP： mail.chinasofti.com （SMTP need to verify）You can still use icss.com.cn mailbox, but if you join the company after Nov. 2017, you will only have chinasofti.com, and you will no longer get old mail box.

(7) Input your mailbox account

then click more settings …

(8) if you want to continue to add an account, you can open outlook and click ToolsAccount setting

(9) open account setting and choose email, and click new, it will show same steps like step 4, same way to set up and if there are multiple accounts, each account can build the different name of Inboxclick the change folder

2. the Basic Set Up of Anti-SpamBriefly explain the different step and you will need your situation to set up your account.(1) Click Tools—Options

(2) click junk mail from preferences

(3) open junk mail

Option:

Mainly set up the level of filtering of the junk mail, the higher the level, the tighter the filter, which is much possible get the wrong result, we suggest you guys choose low, and others keep the default.

Save Senders:

You can set the Non-filtration inspection of sender and domain name; every email comes from this sender or domain will not be filtered.

Save Recipient:

same with save senders

Block Senders:

you can define your own spam blacklist. which means every email send from these senders or domain will become junk mail, this setting will need long time to add.

International:

you can filter base on the mailbox suffix which is the top-level domain name and mail usage code. Because of the wide range, in order to avoid damage, we are not suggesting you set it up.

This is some basic settings of outlook anti-spam, remember, save sanders and blocked senders is the most important two items.
