Creative Opportunities From paid job roles to arts commissions and competitions, we offer student opportunities throughout the year to help you gain skills and experience, earn money and showcase your talents. Online events Our varied events programme includes some online events, which may include artist talks, discussions, screenings and creative workshops. All our online events are open to Loughborough London students and staff and are advertised on the Loughborough London website: lborolondon.ac.uk/news-events. OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOUGHBOROUGH LONDON STUDENTS Music and Arts Scholarships Our annual scholarships are open to all PG and Loughborough London students and are awarded to students who demonstrate ability, passion and potential in any art form. Art forms could include music, creative writing, photography, film, dance, performing arts, visual arts and crafts. Each scholarship comes with a £100 cash prize and up to £500 of support in the form of mentoring, tuition, training or other activities to help develop your skills and knowledge. Find out more and download an application form from our website. 2021/22 deadline 25 October 2021. Arts Workers Wanted Do you have a creative skill you could pass on to others? Would you like to get paid to run an arts workshop? We offer free training for students in how to run arts workshops. Once students have completed this training they can join our pool of arts workers. We call on these workers from time to time to deliver workshops for us (in person or online). It’s a place to learn and develop confidence playing in an informal ensemble, with a repertoire that ranges from baroque to pop. They rehearse every Thursday from 6.30-8pm at The Bridge Academy, Laburnum Street E2 8BA. Venue may vary during holidays.
