Dry Lubes go on wet but then set up without a traditional

Advantages of a Maintenance Log1. A maintenance log reminds you to perform procedures that

will optimize performance and extend the life of your bike.

2. Maintenance records give you the peace of mind that yourbike is mechanically safe to ride.

3. If you ever re-sell your bicycle, maintenance records willhelp you get top dollar.

The following guidelines are based on recreational riders who ride in moderate weather conditions. Mountain bikes and/or inclement weather, would likely increase maintenance requirements.

50-100 miles: Light cleaning & re-lubrication of chain.500 miles / 800K : Wash bike. Clean, lube & adjustderailleurs & brakes. Deep & thorough chain cleaning.Re-lubricate chain. Inspect all parts & fasteners.

1000 miles / 1600K: Change suspension oil &hydraulic brake fluid. True (balance) front & rear wheels.Inspect and replace as required: brake pads, suspensionelastomers, tubes & tires. Apply anti-seize to threads onbottom brackets, pedals and crank bolts. Grease seat post.1500 miles / 2400K: Inspect, clean & lubricate orreplace as required: Chain, cables, headset & bottom bracketbearings, disc brake rotors. NOTE: If routine maintenancehas not been performed, a complete shop overhaul isrecommended.

Every surface and component is cleaned, polished

and inspected in a process that goes amazingly fast.

Pro mechanics are meticulous about maintaining perfect tire pressure for their riders.

In extremely wet conditions, some mechanics will lube the chain with WET lube, then apply a top coating of Teflon Grease to the chain.

In semi-wet conditions, some will apply DRY Lube to the chain as a base coat, and then a top coat of WET lube
