Drop center axles and hypoid rear axlesDescription of axles

Built for on and off-road with their ample ground clearance, high traction power and extremely heavy-duty capability, MAN drop center axles and hypoid rear axles are the all-rounders among the axles . They are used in commercial vehicles, buses and coaches of every kind .

Specially developed for low-entry buses comes the HONP axle with a dropped axle beam .

The maintenance-free wheel bearings of the HONP and HU axles are proof that cost-effectiveness does not rule out con-venience . As is the HUB unit for simple and speedy brake disk replacement without disassembling bearings . Axles fitted with either disk brakes or drum brakes feature automatic brake lining or brake shoe adjustment as well as electrical wear indication .
