We are delighted to share the first edition of the Manor Park Falcon, our new half-termly newspaper, which has been designed and produced by a group of children, as part of their journalism Manor Park University course. We hope you enjoy reading their news. As part of our recent review of first aid in school and to further improve our current systems, we have recently introduced a new medical tracker system into school which will be used to log all first aid incidents electronically, commencing after the October half term holiday. As part of this system we will no longer be asking EYFS parents to countersign first aid incidents at the door. The system totally complies with all Ofsted and statutory requirements and we are confident that it will further improve our recording of first aid incidents in school and our communication with parents. I would like to clarify our uniform policy for PE lessons. Children who joined us in Reception in September need to wear the school green PE top, black shorts and pumps. This will then be phased in as the PE kit across the school. All other children may wear green or white tops for PE to enable them to use up any PE clothing that had previously been purchased before the change in uniform policy in September. At the request of some parents who have asked for all children to have the opportunity to have an individual or family group photograph taken in their new uniforms and to celebrate the schools 70th birthday, we have made arrangements for these to take place. The photographer will be in school all day on Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th October. There is an informal drop in session on both these days between 8am and 9am in the lower hall, so please come along during these times if you would like to have family shots with pre school children taken. All other children will have an individual or family group photograph taken in school. Thank you for your continued support. School Photos Dear Parents and Carers, A reminder that school returns on Monday 28th October for children and

staff. We are delighted to share the first edition of the Manor Park Falcon, our new half-termly newspaper, which has been designed and

produced by a group of children, as part of their journalism Manor Park University course. We hope you enjoy reading their news.

As part of our recent review of first aid in school and to further improve our current systems, we have recently introduced a new medical tracker

system into school which will be used to log all first aid incidents electronically, commencing after the October half term holiday. As part of this system we will no longer be asking EYFS parents to countersign

first aid incidents at the door. The system totally complies with all Ofsted and statutory requirements and we are confident that it will further

improve our recording of first aid incidents in school and our communication with parents.

I would like to clarify our uniform policy for PE lessons. Children who joined us in Reception in September need to wear the school green PE top, black shorts and pumps. This will then be phased in as the PE kit

across the school. All other children may wear green or white tops for PE to enable them to use up any PE clothing that had previously been

purchased before the change in uniform policy in September. At the request of some parents who have asked for all children to have

Nut Free School

Another reminder that we have many children in our school with nut allergies and even the smell of nuts can set off a reaction. Please can

you ensure that your child does not bring any form of nut into school and please be aware that some chocolate and spreads contain nuts. This week alone we have had children with Nutella sandwiches, a snickers bar and a selection of nuts.
