If anyone plays the guitar or another musical instrument, and wants to play for Easter season, let Betty or John know.

ZUMBA FITNESS ZUMBA continues tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m. in the parish hall. PARISH COUNCIL MEETING… There will be a Parish Council Meeting Wednesday, March 23 at 7 p.m. PARISH GROUNDS CLEAN-UP DAY On Saturday, April 2, beginning at 9 a.m. there will parish grounds clean-up day to take care of some much needed yard maintenance in preparation for Spring. "The+Word with Fr Tim Gray" airs on WHBQ AM 560 Sunday mornings @ 9:40 a.m. WHBQ also streams over the internet at http://www.sports56whbq.com/. Each weekly "episode" is also posted on the St. Gregory Facebook page at www.facebook.com/StGregorySenatobia and can be listened to on demand whenever you want. STATIONS OF THE CROSS/LENTEN MEALS: Join us at St. Gregory for Stations of the Cross each Friday during lent at 6:00 p.m., followed by a light lenten meal. A JOURNEY WITH MARY: A Woman’s Lenten Retreat. All ladies are invited to a day of prayer and renewal led by Lois Harrison. The retreat will be held at Christ the King, Saturday, April 2 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Circle this date now! You will not want to miss this opportunity for quiet reflection. All are asked to bring a sack lunch. Although registration is not mandatory, please contact Christ the King, 662-342-1073, so that our presenter can prepare enough materials. DISCIPLES IN MISSION is our Lenten discussion program which helps us ‘break open’ the meaning of the Scriptures we have heard at Mass. We hope to have many persons participating in these sessions this Lent. The booklet is the third in the series. The reflections will be about the Scriptures we will hear each Sunday at Mass during Lent. Sessions will be held every Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. FORTUNE COOKIES are at the back of the church in a basket-- these are little folded pieces of paper containing an activity to do throughout the week. Each weekend of Lent you are to take a new fortune cookie with the activity for the week ahead. Everyone is invited to get in shape this Lent by taking part in YOGA WITH LYNN at Holy Spirit - Hernando every Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. (bring your mat) and also NOSE TO TOES exercise class at Christ the King - Southaven, every Thursday at 9:45 a.m.

FORGIVENESS WALK: Nine Altars with symbols of forgiveness are set up. Moving from altar to altar, we pray for forgiveness of ourselves, our families, our neighbors, our church. All is done in silence and at our own pace. Está precedida por un momento de silencio en el cual la asamblea, en silencio, presenta sus peticiones a Dios. El sacerdote que preside la celebración, las “colecta”, de ahí el nombre de esta oración y, siguiendo una tradición antiquísima de la Iglesia: “Se dirige regularmente a Dios Padre por Cristo en el Espíritu Santo” (Instrucción General para el Uso del Misal Romano, 54). Esta misma oración es la que constituye a la asamblea como una comunidad orante, pues no sólo la invita a orar, sino a ser consciente de la presencia de Dios. El Amén que concluye la oración reafirma lo dicho por el sacerdote, por ello debe ser contundente. La razón de esta oración que “recoge” la intención del pueblo, explica la postura orante del sacerdote: de pie y con las manos extendidas. Esta oración, al igual que toda la Eucaristía, no será la acción sola del sacerdote, sino de la asamblea presidida por él que actúa en la persona de Cristo, cabeza de la Iglesia. —Miguel Arias, © Copyright, J.
