Of course, I loved that we could BARELY fit everyone into the BIG room when we gathered for our program. And a great comment was the guest who left saying, “I thought I was just coming for a lunch. I didn’t even know these people, and I was crying and laughing.” Who would have known that a decision to sell MK would help a consultant
find a top notch hospital and a competent surgeon to take care of her mom’s lung cancer? Who would imagine that choosing to join MK would impact your sister and put you on the front page of the paper as the person who influences her the most? And who knew that Mary Kay could fill both your arms with
purses that you’d won in just a few short years of winning prizes! And do you think we could hire our guest from Transylvania to be a spokesperson? She is a college professor who will always support women in business. She paid tribute to Mary Kay as a company that allows women to reach their potential, without a glass ceiling. I truly believe we’ll be talking about this event as a turning point, for consultants who will join, for those who were inspired, and for those who saw more clearly that there’s no cookie cutter description for who can be a success and how success is defined. Thank you so much for making another magnificent memory for so many.
Dear Scintillating Superstars, When a challenge ends and the event is but a few days away, chaos reigns. The phone calls and e-mails fly! Get your numbers in!!! How many winners? I need names! Who’s qualified to bring guests? How many are coming? Get a count for the food! How many faces were done? Who’s earned reserved seats? Don’t forget to bring your portfolio! Do we have enough chairs? How many of you would be elated to find out 90 people were coming to your house for lunch? I was! (I’m not printing what Reed said.) Who would have thought this would end up being our BEST Model Portfolio event, ever! I don’t think we’ve ever had 35 guests at an event before. And how about the 12 new consultants that got to slide in because they’d been models in their consultants’ Global Beauty Porfolios? That was a powerful number combined with the 32 winning consultants who were able to attend. What do you think other people do on a Saturday morning? Could it ever compare to a GLOBAL BEAUTY LUNCHEON? I don’t think so. I had guests ask me what they should wear, and beautiful dresses, sharp pants, and lovely skirts filled the rooms. I couldn’t tell the guests from the consultants. Everyone was so eager to meet new friends. The food presentation was beautiful, and the globes and abstract floral arrangements on the reserved tables made some guests and consultants decide that NEXT TIME they were doing whatever it took to sit upstairs.
