Certified Green BusinessDesignation now Included inMontgomery County’s Vendor Registration SystemCounty officials purchasing products andservices can now search for and identifyCertified Green Businesses in theCounty’s Central Vendor RegistrationSystem (CVRS).
The new designation makes it easy forcontracting officials to screen their vendorsearch using Green Business Certificationas a criterion.
With an informal solicitation (under$100,000), the department can expand its solicitation outreach. While thedepartment is required by law to includefive randomly-selected companies whichit would receive from the Office ofProcurement, the department can alsosend the solicitation to additionalCertified Green firms. All prospectivevendors interested in doing business with the County need to register throughthe CVRS.
To learn more about CVRS and businesscompliance, contact [email protected],Manager of the Office of BusinessRelations and Compliance.
The Montgomery CountyInter-Agency Central VendorRegistration System The CVRS website is a collaborativeeffort from Montgomery CountyGovernment, Montgomery College,Montgomery County Public Schools, and Housing Opportunities Commission. It is the one-stop registration system forcompanies who are interested in providing goods and services to all 4county agencies’ procurement offices.
It allows potential vendors to createand maintain their subscriptions at nocost, ensuring county agencies alwayshave up-to-date vendor information.Only the listed agents will receive yourregistration information. If you wouldlike to register with other MontgomeryCounty agencies, you register with themdirectly.
