INTRODUCTIONMarian University College (MARUCO) is a Constituent College of St Augustine University of Tanzania (SAUT) located in Bagamoyo along Mango Street. The University College is newly established and got TCU approval in April, 2015. The University College offers Short Courses, Certificate, Diploma and Degree programmes in Sciences, Education, ICT, Mathematics, Statistics and Related fields with effect from 2015/2016 Academic Year. General Entry Requirements for all Degree Programmes:
Applicants must have attained at least Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education or Ordinary Diploma or recognized equivalent prior learning qualifications.
i) At least TWO passes in relevant subjects in the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination or its equivalent. The sum of points from at least two subjects (all passed at the same sitting), should not be less than 4.0 points of the NECTA grading system. OR
ii) An Ordinary Diploma in the fields of Specialization and passed at Second Class, Credit, B Average or above AND passes in any FOUR science subjects or three credits in the same science subjects at O- level or equivalent. A pass in Basic Mathematics and English at O-Level is mandatory. OR
iii) A Certificate with Distinction in relevant fields from recognized colleges/institutions and passes in any FOUR science subjects or three credits at O-level or equivalent. OR
iv) A Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Certificate obtained after passing RPL examination relevant to the degree programme one wishes to apply at Marian University College.

B: DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES
1. Ordinary Diploma in Primary Education (Pre–Service - 3 years)
Ordinary Diploma in Primary Education (In-Service – 2 Years)
Entry Qualification:
(i) Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education with a minimum of two passes in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics or Geography along with four passes at O-Level.
(ii) A Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) “O” level with at least four (4) passes including science subjects, Mathematics is must.
(iii) Certificate in Primary Education (grade “A”) with pass level or any other certificates from recognized institution.
2. Diploma in Computer Science (2 years)
Entry Qualification:
(i) Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education with a minimum of two passes in Physics or Mathematics along with four passes at O-Level.
(ii) Certificate in Computer Science, IT or related field with pass level.
