    MASTER IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (MIT)

    CHEd HEDP FDP

    University of the Cordilleras as a delivering institution

    RATIONALE

    The Master in Information Technology is under the consortium program of other

    universities in the country which is offered under scholarship program by the

    Commission on Higher Education funded by the Higher Education Development

    Program Faculty Development Program (CHED HEDP FDP).

    The academic program, Master in Information Technology, is a degree offered

    to faculty members and other interested enrollee whose aim is to obtain a non-

    thesis masters degree.

    This is an alternative to any masters degree in the field of information

    technology such as MS in Computer Science, MS in Information Technology and

    MS in Information Management.

    OBJECTIVES

    The Master in Information Technology program aims to:

    1. Strengthen the knowledge and skills in Information Communication

    Technology through an extensive actual IT training systems development;

    2. Implement Information Systems solution to address Information needs of

    various organization; and

    3. Evaluate and access contemporary Information Systems being deployed.

    Qualifications

    The applicant must:

    be a fulltime faculty member in any of the priority sending higher education

    institutions (SHEIs);

    have no masters degree in ITE;

    have a good academic record;

    be a Filipino citizen and not more than 47 years old;

    have no pending criminal/administrative charges or must not have been

    convicted for violation of any Philippine Law; be endorsed by the head of the SHEIs; and

    be willing to render the required service obligation in the SHEIs for the period

    equivalent to the length of time the scholarship was enjoyed,
