This applied discipline addresses essentialquestions such as: How can organizationsattract ambitious, competent, andtrustworthy employees? How can we designselection procedures that are fair todifferent ethnic groups? How can younegotiate a better salary?

Who becomes a leader, and when and whydo others follow? How should we select andtrain leaders in order to deal with today’schallenges in organizations? Which socialprocesses explain how employees respondto organizational change? How areindividual workplace attitudes andperformance outcomes shaped by socialdynamics among team members, betweenleaders and followers, and betweenemployees and the organization as awhole?

The Master’s program in Work andOrganizational Psychology prepares you forpractice. You learn to apply theory toeveryday situations in today’s workplacefrom teachers who have experience in thefield and who give you insights into theirapplied research program. You will alsolearn a variety of professional skillsrelevant to a career in the work place.

YOUR FUTURE CAREERStudents of Work and OrganizationalPsychology often find employment inHuman Resource Managementdepartments of large companies. Typicaljobs include personnel manager, trainer,assessor, or internal consultant.

You can also end up as a coach or externalconsultant in a consultancy firm or as arecruiter or assessor in a recruitmentagency. Work and OrganizationalPsychologists are also sought after ineducational and research institutions, andmay also end up in general managementfunctions.
