Master's ProgrammeMASTER ÈS LETTRES, DISCIPLINEEGYPTOLOGY AND COPTICThe programme run by the Egyptology and Coptic Unit provides students within-depth insight into Egyptian civilisation, with classes in history, archaeologyand religion. Students study the Egyptian language and learn abouthieroglyphics, Coptic (language spoken by Christians in Egypt), and the Hieratic,Demotic and Ptolemaic scripts. UNIGE is one of the only European universities tooffer courses covering all aspects of the ancient Egyptian language.
