Title V funds distributed to all 50 states, District of Columbia and eight U.S. territories

Five-Year MCH Needs Assessment
Required as part of MCHBG
Identify:o The need for preventive and primary care services for:■ pregnant women, mothers and infants up to age one; ■ children; and■ children with special health care needs
o Emerging public health issueso State’s capacity and resources to address them
To be used as basis to set priorities for five-year state action plan for MCHBG …
… but useful for other programs and purposes as well
