How to playIf you are logging in for the
first time, you need to choose your Rock Star name.
Spend some time exploring. There are three single player
options – Garage (which is tables I’ve set for you), studio and
soundcheck. You might like to try playing all
three of these to see what they’re like.
There is also three multiplayer options, which is when you play
against other people.
You might like to try playing all three of these to see what they
are like.
How to playDepending on which type of game
you choose, you earn coins for every answer you get correct.
Studio, Festival, Arena, Rockslam = 1 coin
Soundcheck = 5 coins per correct answer.
Garage = 10 coins per correct answer.
Once you have played and earned yourself some coins, you can
spend these coins at the shop. These can be spent on changing your character’s appearance, or
the background.

We need to find out what the denominator is in this equation. We know each group has 5 in it, so we simply need to add groups of 5 until we get to 15, and that will inform us how many parts are in the whole. 5 + 5 + 5 = 15, so 3.A is incorrect as 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 +5 = 25, not 15.B is incorrect as 5 + 5 = 10, not 15.C is correct as 5 + 5 + 5 = 15.D is incorrect as 20 x 5 = 100.
Firstly, we need to read the temperature on the thermometer. We can see if is at the 10 degrees line, therefore 10 degrees Celsius. We need to work out 7 degrees colder than that. 10 – 7 = 3.A is incorrect as 10 + 7 = 17.B is correct as 10 – 7 = 3.C is incorrect as this implies the 7 degrees which you took away is the answer. D is incorrect as it is possible.

StarterToday we will continue to tell the time in five minute intervals. Watch this video ‘Telling Time Song for Kids – Telling Time to 5 minutes’: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6RNkQ7lU8Y
It’s really important that we can count to 60 in fives when we’re
telling the time.
Discuss with your adult:How many minutes past is the minute hand pointing to?
What time does the clock show? (hint – blue past black )
Telling the Time
The time is 20 minutes past 1 or 1:20.
Telling the Time
What time is this clock showing us?
Telling the Time
The time is 25 minutes past 3.
Telling the Time
After the minute hand passes ‘half past’, the time stops being ‘minutes past’ and becomes ‘minutes to’.
This is slightly trickier because the minutes on the outside of the clock are still counting past the hour.

TO
Telling the Time
This clock makes it easier to read the minutes to the hour because all the numbers in green show the minutes to the hour.
The time will now be ‘green minutes to black’.
How many minutes is it to the hour? What time is this clock showing us?
Telling the Time
How many minutes to does the minute hand show?
What time is it?

Self & Parent Assessment
AnswersVaried Fluency5a. False, the clock shows the time 20 to 7.6a. 25 past 4.7a. 20 past 1.8a.
Jive - correct.Twist – incorrect, the clock says ten to 9.Boogie-woogie – incorrect, the clock says twenty past 8.Jitterbug – incorrect, the clock says twenty to 9.
Reasoning and Problem SolvingThe dance-a-thon lasts 2 and a half hours. In one hour, they would dance 12 dances. In half an hour they would dance 6 dances. In total they would have danced 30 dances, 12 + 12 + 6 = 30.4a. A –10 past 10, B –25 to 4, C –20 past 95a. Meadow is not correct because the minute hand points to the 8 when it is 20 minutes to the hour. If the minute hand was pointing to the 4 then it would have been 20 past 8.6a. Half past 4 or 30 minutes past 4.
