Peel & Peek! Why Is It Necessary?
The answer is simple! Personal safety today is more important then ever before! What is behind the plastic can cause injury to the rescuer and to the patients we are challenged to protect. The above picture depicts what is underneath the plastic and why it is necessary to open the area before cutting. How this is done is equally important. For example: Have one FF peel away the plastic with gloved hands using a small pry tool while another FF looks in from the opposite side. What ever is found on one side, the other will be a mirror image. A quick rule of thumb to remember : If it’s year 2000 or newer, assume it has everything you see in this picture!

Sycuan Sets The Example!
Sycuan Fire Department recently took
delivery of their new Holmatro® Rescue Equipment.
The attached pictures show how they utilized one
compartment on both their Peirce Truck and Engine to
efficiently mount their equipment. They did an
outstanding job of setting the equipment up for ease of
use. The heavier equipment was mounted in the
bottom section and the use of angle mounted slides
allows the end user to grab and go! Because of Core
Technology and the lack of 18” pig tails, makes it much
more user friendly and easier to mount.
