The RJC Welcoming Committee would like to invite you to meet other young couples in their homes on Shabbat, June 4th. If you would like to host or be hosted, please email [email protected] by May 22nd. That Shabbat, a dairy kiddush will be served at 11:30 am in the boardroom for all participants.

Women’s Health and Halacha Day

SUMMER EVENTS High School students are invited to apply for the L'Dor V'Dor Summer Internship where they work with residents at the Hebrew Home while studying Jewish texts & traditions about the elderly. Students will make a difference in someone’s life and, as one participant put it, “I never re-alized how much this experience was going to make a difference in mine." There will also be a $500 stipend once all the internship require-ments will be completed. For more information about the program and application, contact internship coordinator Scott Kalmikoff at [email protected]. Look for the invitation to participate in the Women's Health Survey posted on RiverdaleShuls by ARCC Institute, a frum research organiza-tion, and Columbia University Medical Center. The survey asks about attitudes towards getting tested for the BRCA (breast and ovarian can-cer) susceptibility gene. Your participation will greatly assist this essen-tial research. Women-Only/Men-Only Swim at the Riverdale Y Women-only Swim is now offered on Sundays from 5-6 PM, Mondays from 7 - 8 PM, and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 - 2 PM. Men-only Swim is now offered on Sundays from 6 - 7 PM, Wednesdays from 7 - 8 PM and Thursdays from 8:30 - 9:45 PM.
