Oliver has over 30 years in the building trades in roles from Apprentice to Project Executive. As a licensed General Contractor since 1980, he has been a mem-ber of the Marin Builder’s Asso-ciation since 1986 and is a past President of the Board of Direc-tors (2003). With a strong com-mitment to sustainable building practices, he managed the con-struction for the first LEED certi-fied hotel in California, managed the LEED Gold Convent of Jane D’Aza in San Rafael and has been a LEED-AP since 2006.

With over 24 years of construc-tion and estimating experience, Tom has been Vice President of Estimating with Ghilotti Bros., Inc. since 2006. Tom is respon-sible for overseeing the prepara-tion of all estimates from take-off and conceptual estimates through the finalization of the projects being awarded. He has been a Registered Professional Engineer since 1992, and was the President of the Association of Engineering Construction Em-ployers in 2010.

I am delighted to announce the addition of four new Board Members to the Marin Builders Association. Each individual possesses a unique expertise that will bring incredible value and insight to our Board of Directors. We are proud to bring these outstanding professionals into our Board of Directors and look forward to accomplishing much together.

Herb has spent his entire profes-sional career in the insurance industry and presently is a com-mercial insurance broker for MOC Insurance Services. For-merly a member of the Citizens Advisory Committee for the San Rafael Redevelopment Agency he served as its Chair during much of theimplementation of the Downtown Vision. Hehas been a member of the MBA Insurance Trust for several years serving as Chair for the past three years.

Josh serves as the Public/Govern-ment Affairs Manager for Pacific Gas & Electric covering the North Coast region. His duties include public outreach, strategic plan-ning, governmental affairs, busi-ness relations and charitable giv-ing. He has trained and mentored a staff that has been innovative in its community involvement as well as its problem solving abil-ity. He has cultivated relation-ships through collaborations with non-profit organizations while serving on a number of business organizations Board of Directors.

Rob has worked at Golden State Lumber for twelve years. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer for the company; man-aging the four yard locations in San Rafael, Brisbane, Stockton and Newark. Rob has worked in many different positions, learn-ing the industry from the ground up in the Yard, Sales and Admin-istrative Departments as well as managing the Brisbane location.
