Tennessee Trends

• Tennessee has an all-time record of 1,471-930-2 in 101 seasons of varsity basketball.• In all nine of his seasons as a Division I head coach, Bruce Pearl’s teams have won at least 10 games in conference play.• Bruce Pearl is 22-16 vs. ranked teams at UT.• UT is 71-6 (.922) when scoring 80 or more points under the direction of Bruce Pearl.• Tennessee is 55-4 (.932) during the Bruce Pearl era when it holds it opponents to 40 percent shoot-ing or worse.

Noting Chattanooga

Led by seventh-year head coach John Shulman, the Chattanooga Mocs are projected to finish near the top of the SoCon North Division after posting a 15-18 (6-12 SoCon) record a season ago ... Guards Ricky Taylor (11.4 ppg) and Keegan Bell (7.6 ppg, 4.8 apg) lead a roster that features transfers from major programs such as Oklahoma, Vanderbilt (Bell), Georgetown (Johnson City native Omar Wattad), UNLV and Georgia ... Wattad played against the Vols early in the 2008-09 season when Tennessee defeated Georgetown 90-78 in the Old Spice Classic in Orlando, Fla. ... Wattad scored nine points while shooting a perfect 3-for-3 from 3-point range to go along with five rebounds during his 15 minutes of action in that game ... The Mocs’ front-court is one of the team’s looming question marks this season, while its depth may be its biggest asset.

The Chattanooga Series

The Vols lead the all-time series with Chattanooga 31-5, dating to 1913 ... Tennessee has won 25 of the last 26 meetings, with the lone blemish coming on Dec. 5, 2004, when the Mocs posted a 69-68 win

in Knoxville ... The Vols are a perfect 2-0 against Chattanooga under head coach Bruce Pearl, with an average victory margin of 22.5 points ... This is the third time in Thompson-Boling Arena history that the Vols have faced Chattanooga as a home-opening opponent ... UT beat the Mocs 88-66 on Nov. 17, 2000, and posted a 114-75 victory over Chattanooga on Nov. 15, 2008.

Last Clash vs. Chattanooga

The Vols made history during their season-opening rout of Chattanooga on Nov. 15, 2008, by dishing out a school-record 32 assists ... The previous record was 31 assists against Tennessee Tech on Nov. 25, 1988 ... Junior point guard Bobby Maze led the way with a game-high 10 assists (against only one turnover) in his official Tennessee debut ... J.P. Prince and Tyler Smith added five assists apiece, and center Brian Williams logged four ... Nine of the 11 Vols who played against the Mocs recorded at least one assist ... The game marked the col-

legiate debut of current Vols Scotty Hopson,

Michael Hubert and Renaldo Woolridge ... After scoring 17 points in 19 minutes of action during the win, Hopson was named the SEC Freshman of the Week ... Hopson was 7-of-11 from the floor in the win and also recorded three rebounds, one steal and one block.

Home-Openers & Season-Openers

The Vols have won 11 straight season-openers and are 22-2 in their last 24 season-openers ... UT is 21-2 in home-openers at Thompson-Boling Arena and 41-2 in its last 43 home-openers overall ... The Vols are riding an 18-game win streak in home-openers ... Tennessee is 5-0 in home-openers under head coach Bruce Pearl, and the Vols’ average margin of victory in those games is 27.8 points ... The aver-

age attendance for those Pearl-era-openers has

been 20,144.

Up Next: Belmont

Tennessee opens South Regional play in the Dick’s Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip-Off next Tuesday, Nov. 16, by hosting in-state foe and Atlantic Sun Conference member Belmont (9:30 p.m. ET, ESPNU) ... The Vols actually face Belmont twice during the regular season, with the Bruins returning to Knoxville Dec. 23 ... The Bruins are led by veteran head coach Rick Byrd, who is a two-time graduate of the University of Tennessee (1976 and 1977) and a Knoxville native. Byrd—who once served as a stu-dent assistant coach at UT under the legendary Ray Mears—recently guided Belmont to three consecu-tive NCAA Tournament appearances and a share of three A-Sun regular-season titles in the past five years ... Belmont’s roster includes redshirt freshman forward Blake Jenkins, who is the son of former Vols letterman Fred Jenkins (1984-87) ... Blake is a graduate of Knoxville’s Bearden High School, and Fred is fifth on Tennessee’s career steals list (177) and remains the only player ever to lead the Vols in steals for four straight seasons.

Page 3: MBB Chattanooga Game Notes

Pearl’s Volunteers Dominant On State Circuit

Tennessee State is the only Division I basketball program in the state the Volunteers have not faced during Bruce Pearl’s tenure … Since 2005-06, the Vols have played—and beaten—every in-state Division I team except the Tigers … Those schools include Austin Peay, Belmont, Chattanooga, ETSU, Lipscomb, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, Tennessee Tech, UT-Martin and Vanderbilt … Under Pearl, UT

is 23-5 (.821) against in-state Division I teams.

Veteran’s Day Important To The Vols

With the Vols’ regular-season opener against Chattanooga taking place the day after Veteran’s Day, here’s a look at a few members of the Tennessee basketball family whose immediate family members have served in the military:• John Fields: His parents, Bailey (major sergeant) and Regina, both serve in the Army. John’s sister, Mraquita, also is currently serving in the Army.• Jordan McRae: His sister, Kristen, serves in the Air Force and is currently stationed in Japan.• Brian Williams: His father, William Williams (deceased), served in the Navy.• Associate Head Coach Tony Jones: His father, Clarence “Sonny J” Jones (deceased), served in the Army during World War II.• Director of Basketball Ops Ken Johnson: His brother, Craig Johnson, served in the Air Force.

Vols Ranked In 20 Straight AP Polls

Tennessee has been ranked in 20 consecutive AP polls dating back the 2009-10 preseason poll ... It’s the second longest streak of its kind during the Bruce Pearl era, trailing a period of 32 straight poll appearances from 2007-09 ... Last season, only nine teams—Kansas, Kentucky, Duke, Purdue, West Virginia, Michigan State, Villanova, Georgetown and Tennessee—went the entire season without failing to appear in the AP top 25.

Can UT Bench Run Deep Once Again?

Last season, Tennessee’s bench outscored the opponents’ bench by 10 points per game (22.7 to 12.7) ... UT’s non-starters scored in double digits 35 times last year, and nine different Vols averaged at least 13.0 minutes played per game ... Many believe this year’s team is even deeper than last year’s.

Lots Of Length This Year

With an average height of 6-5, this year’s Tennessee roster boasts great length once again ... A total of 10 players—or 64.8 percent of the team—is 6-5 or taller ... Only point guard Melvin Goins, at 5-11, is less than 6-feet-tall ... Impressively, five Vols are 6-8 or taller, with center Brian Williams checking in at a team-high 6-10.

Tennessee Approaching 1,500th All-Time Win

With 1,221 wins to the program’s credit, Tennessee needs just 29 wins to reach 1,500 all-time victories, dating to the inaugural 1908-09 season.

Hopson On Verge Of Joining Elite Club

Junior guard Scotty Hopson is 238 points shy of becoming the 43rd member of Tennessee’s 1,000-point club.

Two Coaching Milestones Loom For Pearl

Head coach Bruce Pearl, in his 19th collegiate season, needs only seven wins to reach 450 for his career ... Pearl could potentially log his 150th win at Tennessee as well this season, as he is 24 wins from that milestone ... Pearl has averaged 25.2 wins per season in his five full years on Rocky Top.

Season-Ticket Sales Strong Again

Tennessee has sold 14,800 season tickets thus far, with the only available season-ticket pack-ages remaining located in the arena’s upper level, mostly above Row 10 ... Last year’s season-ticket sales topped out at 15,100 (the second consecutive year the Vols sold more than 15,000).

Tough Break For Bone

Senior guard Josh Bone sustained a fractured left wrist during the Vols’ exhibition win over Brevard Nov. 3 ... Dr. Robert Ivy, of Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic, said Bone is expected to be sidelined for at least eight weeks ... As a junior walk-on last season, the Nashville, Tenn., native played an important role in several Tennessee victories, most nota-bly wins over Ole Miss and Ohio in the NCAA Tournament ... He was placed on scholarship by head coach Bruce Pearl this past summer.

Pearl Predicts Physicality, Bone Concurs

Vols head coach Bruce Pearl has mentioned mul-tiple times this preseason that this is his most physical team at Tennessee ... According to senior guard Josh Bone: “We put a big emphasis on being more physical this year. Defense will be a big key to how far we go. Judging by our early workouts, we’re going to apply a lot of ball pressure on every position on the floor. It’s not going to be easy for our opponents. I know I wouldn’t want to be on the other team having to play against us this year.”

Stong National Television Presence

Tennessee will play a minimum of 17 nationally televised games during just the regular season (CBS, ESPN, ESPNU or ESPN2) ... And if the Vols win their two regional games in the NIT Season Tip-Off, they will play two more nationally televised games at New York’s famous Madison Square Garden.

ESPN’s College GameDay Returns For

Historic Men’s/Women’s Doubleheader

UT’s meteoric rise in prominence under coach Bruce Pearl continues this season, as ESPN announced in August that the Volunteers will be featured in one of its popular College GameDay Driven by State Farm® matchups for the fourth straight season ... This season’s GameDay broadcast will precede the franchise’s first-ever same-school doubleheader ... The Vols host the Commodores Jan. 15 at noon ET, and then the Lady Vols, led by coaching icon Pat Summitt, will play the Vanderbilt women at 8 p.m. ET ... This marks the second time in three years that College GameDay will broadcast live from Thompson-Boling Arena ... And with North Carolina and UCLA not taking part in GameDay matchups this season, Tennessee now owns the nation’s lon-gest active streak of GameDay appearances (four).

Four Former Vols Selected in D-League Draft

Four former Vols were selected in the 2010 NBA Developmental League Draft on Nov. 1, including guard Chris Lofton (2005-08), who was taken with the sixth overall pick by the Iowa Energy, the NBA minor-league affiliate of the Chicago Bulls and Phoenix Suns ... Guard JaJuan Smith (2005-08) was drafted in the sixth round (94th overall) by the Maine Red Claws, the affiliate of the Boston Celtics and Charlotte Bobcats ... Point guard Bobby Maze

joins Lofton on the Energy roster, as Maze was picked in the seventh round (102nd overall) ... And Scooter McFadgon heard his name called in the eighth round (115th overall) by the Austin Toros, who are affiliated with the San Antonio Spurs.

Full-Time Coaching Staff

Intact For Fifth Straight Season

Bruce Pearl’s full-time coaching staff, which includes associate head coach Tony Jones and assistants Steve Forbes and Jason Shay, is in its fifth season completely intact ... The group has never failed to lead the Vols to 20 wins or a berth in the NCAA Tournament ... Director of Basketball Operations Ken Johnson is in his sixth season on staff ... Mark Pancratz, who played for Pearl at UW-Milwaukee, is in his fifth season at UT and his second in the role of “assistant to the head coach” ... Former Appalachian State head coach Houston Fancher rounds out the Vols’ full-time staff at the position of “coordinator of video scouting” ... Former Coastal Carolina letterman Logan Johnson joined the staff prior to this season as a graduate student manager ... Johnson’s older brother, Blake, works in the UT athletic department as an associate director for development.

Fields Could Challenge School Blocks Records

Senior forward John Fields, who enrolled at UT this summer after earning his degree from UNC Wilmington last spring (and is thus eligible imme-diately without having to sit out a year), could chal-lenge Tennessee’s single-game and single-season blocked-shot records ... Fields, who played his first two collegiate seasons at East Carolina, ranks second on ECU’s career blocks list with 104 ... Last year at UNCW, he set a school record for blocks in a season with 59 ... The UT single-game record is six blocks (five times by four different Vols), while C.J. Black holds the single-season record with 73 in 1997-98.

Vols Must Wait For Maymon’s Debut

Sophomore forward Jeronne Maymon (pro-nounced: jur-ON MAY-min) transferred to UT from Marquette during the holiday break last season ... To fulfill the NCAA’s transfer residency require-ments, the 6-7, 258-pound Maymon has to wait until Fall 2010 semester grades have been posted before he can take the court with the Vols ... A native of Madison, Wis., Maymon will add depth and toughness to the UT frontcourt.

Vols Part Of Loaded 2011 Maui Field

The Vols will make their second appearance at the EA Sports Maui Invitational next season ... Along with the perennial tournament host school, Chaminade, the 2011 field includes Duke, Georgetown, Kansas, Memphis, Michigan, Tennessee and UCLA ... Four newly-added Division I mainland tournament teams will be announced at a later date ... The Vols previously competed in the Maui Invitational in 2004, finishing fourth ... And as an assistant coach at Iowa, Bruce Pearl helped lead the Hawkeyes to the 1987 Maui title, with wins over Stanford, Kansas and Villanova.

High-Percentage Hall

Forward Kenny Hall (did not dress during exhibi-tion season; sore foot) led the Vols in field-goal percentage as a freshman last season, shooting .578 (52-of-90) from the field—and .617 (29-of-47) in regular-season SEC play ... He ranked third on the team in dunks with 31 ... That means 59.6 percent of Hall’s field goals last season were slam dunks; that’s as “high-percentage” as it gets.

UT Leads SEC In Wins Since 2005-06

Tennessee’s 57 SEC wins since the 2005-06 season are the most in the conference over that period ... The Vols are the only SEC squad to record double figure league wins in each of the last five years (regular season).

Tennessee Earns Fifth-Straight 20-Win Season

Last season, Bruce Pearl’s Volunteers logged 20 wins for the fifth time in his five-year tenure on Rocky Top ... Tennessee now has 23 all-time 20-win seasons to date ... In 18 full seasons as a college

head coach, Pearl has now led his team to at

least 20 wins 17 times ... That’s darn good.

Volunteers Boast The SEC’s Longest

Active Streak Of NCAA Tournament Bids

The Vols have the longest active NCAA Tournament streak in the Southeastern Conference, earning their fifth consecutive bid under coach Bruce Pearl last season... This year, Tennessee is looking to break its longest NCAA Tournament streak of five seasons (1979-83 and 2006-10).

Numerous Degrees Within Reach

According to team academic counselor Kelly Brock, five current Vols are on pace to earn their degree by the conclusion of the 2010-11 academic year ... Those players are Josh Bone, Melvin Goins, Michael Hubert, Steven Pearl and Brian Williams ... To date,

every single Vol who has played four seasons

under Bruce Pearl has left UT with his degree.

Pearl’s Winning Percentage

Ranks Fourth Among Active Coaches

Bruce Pearl’s career winning percentage of .773 ranks fourth among active coaches ... Pearl has a 126-46 mark at Tennessee ... Following is a break-down of the winningest active Division I coaches: Coach Team Yrs. W-L Pct.

Defense Was Key Last Season

The Vols found a way to win with tenacious defense last season, as UT ranked in the top 30 among NCAA Division I teams in 3-point field-goal defense (13th, .297), field-goal defense (21st, .396) and turn-over margin (30th, 2.9).

Vols Among Nation’s “Most Valuable” Programs

In the spring of 2010, the Tennessee men’s basket-ball program was included on Forbes.com’s list of the 20 “most valuable” college basketball programs in the country ... The figures showed UT hoops with a value of $14.1 million and a profit of $8.6 million in 2009-10.

NIT Season Tip-Off To Use “Experimental Arc”

In some men’s multi-team events, such as the NIT Season Tip-Off, a “restricted area” arc located two feet from the center of the basket will be placed in the lane ... This “experimental rule” is an extension of last year’s rules change that made it illegal for a secondary defender to take a charge underneath the basket ... By placing the arc on the court, offi-cials, players and coaches will have a visual aid to determine the proper positioning by a defender to draw a charge ... If a player’s foot is touching or inside the arc, officials have been instructed not to call a charge.

Concussion Prevention A Focus In Hoops, Too

The NCAA this season is strengthening the pen-alties for elbow contact above the shoulders ... Officials will assess either an intentional or flagrant foul on a player who swings an elbow and makes contact with an opponent above the shoulders ... If the foul is deemed to be intentional, the team whose player was struck would receive two free throws and possession of the ball ... If the foul is deemed to be flagrant, the player who threw the elbow would be ejected ... Previously, such contact called for as little as a common foul or as much as a flagrant foul to be assessed.

Pearl Shines Against The SEC

Tennessee under Bruce Pearl has a record of .500 or better against 10 of its 11 Southeastern Conference foes (2005-06 to present).

Pearl Has Led UT To Three East Division Titles

Despite playing in a division that boasts the NCAA’s all-time winningest program (Kentucky) and a Florida program that claimed two recent national championships, UT has won three SEC East crowns under sixth-year head coach Bruce Pearl ... The Vols won the East in 2006, 2008 and 2009.

Pressure Defense

Tennessee’s pressure defense has made the simple act of inbounding the ball a headache for its oppo-nents ... Since 2006-07 season (142 games), UT has forced 380 turnovers on inbounds plays ... During that span, the Vols’ inbounds pressure has caused:• 78 timeouts to be called• 38 five-second calls• Coppin State (11/19/06) committed the highest number of turnovers on inbounds plays (13) during the last four years.

OUTLIVE: Round 3

The Tennessee bas-ketball program’s OUTLIVE initiative

has raised more than $225,000 for cancer research and prevention education since its inception dur-ing the 2008-09 season ... So far, OUTLIVE has helped the UT Medical Center Cancer Institute provide more than 2,500 free cancer screenings throughout East Tennessee .... The highly suc-cessful OUTLIVE initiative was the idea of former graduate manager Brooks Savage (now a full-time hoops staffer at Tulane), who was inspired to action after witnessing the impact cancer had on the UT basketball team (Bruce Pearl’s mother is a cancer survivor; former Vol Chris Lofton quietly and courageously underwent treatment for testicular cancer during his senior season in 2007-08) ... Bruce and Brandy Pearl have a goal to help raise $1 mil-lion for the OUTLIVE program over five years, and the couple is hosting an “Evening In Orange”

fundraising event in April that is expected to

raise more than $1 million in just that one night

alone ... Much of those proceeds will go toward the expansion, renovation and construction of the facilities at the UTMC Cancer Institute ... Tennessee throttled Florida 79-63 in the inaugural OUTLIVE game in January 2009 before shocking second-ranked Kentucky 74-65 in last season’s OUTLIVE contest in February ... This season’s OUTLIVE

game is the Feb. 19 clash with Georgia.

(Singing) Voice Of The Vols: Jacqui Pearl

Tennessee basketball home games literally are a family affair, with Bruce Pearl’s two oldest children, Jacqui and Steven, playing an active role ... While Steven suits up as a senior forward for the Vols, Jacqui is well known among the UT faithful for her outstanding singing voice ... Since Bruce Pearl took over the UT program in 2005-06, Jacqui has sung

The National Anthem at 28 home basketball

games and the Vols are 22-6 (.786) in those

contests ... Jacqui typically takes the mic for the home-opener each season as well as a few “big games” along the way ... She has sung prior to wins over teams such as Kansas, Florida, Memphis, Ohio State, Temple, Kentucky and Vanderbilt.

Hamilton Named to Div. I-A Athletic

Directors Association Executive Committee

At the September meeting of the Division I-A Athletic Directors Association, Tennessee athlet-ics director Mike Hamilton was named to the Executive Committee of the organization ... The Executive Committee consists of industry leaders among those who serve in the AD role at Division I-A schools, including a representative from each of the 11 Division I-A conferences ... Hamilton is serv-ing as the representative from the SEC.

Vols Taking The Court In New,

State-Of-The-Art adidas Uniforms This Season

Tennessee is one of 11 programs this season that is unveiling the lightest and most technologi-cally advanced college basketball uniforms ever ... Designed and developed by adidas, the uni-forms are 30 percent lighter and dry twice as fast as previous uniforms to help enhance the Vols’ performance by keeping players cooler, drier and more comfortable on the court ... Made from 60 percent recycled materials, the uniforms feature adidas’ Formotion technology, which reduces seams, decreases friction between the garment and the player’s skin and optimizes the player’s natural movement through specially constructed material ... adidas reduced uniform weight and increased player comfort by switching front and back numbers from heavier, dense materials to a more breathable mesh ... The jersey moves heat and sweat away from the body through a combi-nation of moisture management materials, venti-lation channels and three dimensional garments, helping the uniform dry twice as quickly ... All 30 NBA teams also will wear Revolution 30 jerseys this season featuring similar adidas technology.

Legends In The Rafters

Four Tennessee basketball legends are memorial-ized with banners in the Thompson-Boling Arena rafters ... The UT men’s basketball program had never retired a jersey prior to the 2006-07 season, but after nearly 100 years of hardwood history, Bernard King (1975-77) was the first player to earn that distinguished honor ... King’s No. 53 jersey was officially retired during a halftime ceremony at the Feb. 13, 2007, home game against Kentucky (UT won 89-85) ... During that same ceremony, banners honoring longtime head coach Ray Mears (1962-77) and beloved radio “Voice of the Vols” John Ward (1964-99) also were unveiled ... Then on March 2, 2008, Ernie Grunfeld (1974-77) became the second UT player to receive the ultimate honor, when his No. 22 jersey was unveiled in the rafters during half-time of Tennessee’s 63-60 victory over Kentucky.

Unbelievable Increase In Attendance

Tennessee’s average home attendance has increased by 6,943 fans per game since Bruce Pearl’s arrival on Rocky Top ... Tennessee’s increasein attendance is higher than the average atten-

dance of more than 200 Division I programs, including teams from the SEC, ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, Pac 10, Conference USA, WAC, Mountain West and Missouri Valley conferences ... Tennessee ranked fifth nationally home attendance in Pearl’s first year at UT (2005-06) and has ranked fourth each year since.

Tennessee Stands Alone

Tennessee is the only Division I school ever to

rank in the top five nationally in attendance for

football, men’s basketball and women’s basket-

ball in the same year ... UT accomplished that

feat for the seventh time in 2009-10.

Tennessee Fourth In The Nation

In Attendance For Fourth Straight Year

Tennessee finished last season ranked fourth nationally in average home attendance for the fourth consecutive year ... The Vols have finished in the top five nationally for five straight years ... Below is a look at 2009-10’s attendance leaders: School Games Total Average

1. Kentucky 18 433,989 24,1102. Syracuse 19 420,890 22,1523. Louisville 19 368,537 19,3974. Tennessee 16 306,680 19,168

5. North Carolina 19 337,934 17,786

Home Crowds of 20,000 Nothing New For Vols

Tennessee has played in front of 40 home

crowds of 20,000 or larger during the Bruce

Pearl era ... The crowd of 22,326 for the 2009 Gonzaga game marked the largest at Thompson-Boling Arena since capacity was reduced from 24,535 to 21,678 prior to the 2007-08 season.

Vols Building New Home Win Streak

The Vols own a current five-game home win streak ... After posting back-to-back 16-0 home records in 2006-07 and 2007-08, the Vols turned in an unchar-acteristic 10-5 mark at Thompson-Boling Arena in 2008-09 before going 15-1 last year ... Now in his sixth season at UT, Bruce Pearl is 70-8 at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Vols Enjoying World-Class Facilities

The University of Tennessee invested more than $35 million into its basketball facilities between the end of the 2006-07 campaign and the start of 2007-08 ... During that eight-month period, UT added a basketball-only practice facility and began the first phase of renovations to Thompson-Boling Arena ... The $19 million first phase of renovations included the addition of 32 luxury suites that are located in the existing north balcony, a loge area just below the luxury suites that includes 166 side court seats, new seats for the entire arena, a $3 million center-hung scoreboard and concourse refurbishments, such as graphics and other amenities ... The renova-tions took Thompson-Boling’s capacity down from 24,535 to 21,678 ... The Vols’ new state-of-the-art basketball practice facility, Pratt Pavilion, houses two full-size gymnasiums, one for each of the men’s and women’s basketball teams, as well as an ath-letic training room, weight room and film-study room ... Prior to last season, a pedestrian bridge was constructed leading from the G-10 parking garage to the arena, an elevator was added at the arena’s northwest end as a customer service amenity and new exterior signage was installed on the building’s facade ... The UT athletics department is now reno-vating the men’s and women’s basketball offices at the arena in, creating a new and impressive “front door” for the basketball programs.

The Volunteers At Thompson-Boling Arena

Thompson-Boling Arena is hosting its 24th season in 2010-11 ... The Vols have won nearly 75 percent of their games in Thompson-Boling Arena and have ranked in the top 10 nationally in attendance 11 times, including an active streak of five consecutive seasons in which UT has ranked in the top five.• Tennessee is 270-92 (.746) in 23 seasons in Thompson-Boling Arena.• Since the 1998 season, the Vols are 170-33 (.837) in Thompson-Boling Arena.• The Vols are 80-24 against SEC teams at home over the last 11 seasons.• Tennessee has won 27 of its last 31 SEC games at Thompson-Boling Arena.• UT has won 97 of its last 106 home games against non-conference opponents.• UT is 36-2 in home games against non-conference opponents under Bruce Pearl.• Tennessee finished both the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons with a 16-0 home record.• This is the third straight season in which Sporting News has tabbed Thompson-Boling Arena the “best

homecourt advantage” in the Southeastern Conference.
