Ceske Budejovice

Holasovice (UNESCO) and folk architecture

The unique building style of folk architecture, also known as Peasant Baroque, reflected in 19th century in the character of landscape as well as villages. The outstanding buildings- village houses with abundantly decorated gables, cowsheds, barns, stables, granaries and smithies. The pearl among pearls is the picturesque, uniquely entirely preserved village of Holasovice with unrepeatable genius loci.
