THE HARP ( Revelations 5)

• 1 Sam 16 David is anointed by the Holy Spirit to play a harp.

• Three things happened:RefreshedMade Well The Evil spirit Departed from him temporarily

• It is believed David played an instrument called a NEVEL. 22 Stringed harp.

• David didn’t rebuke the spirit, he just played and it left.

• What then made the spirit leave?Was it the Instrument that David Played?The Song that David Played?The Anointing upon David?

• In the Study of the Harp if you go to Genesis Chapter 4. There were two seeds that came out of the garden. Cain and Seth. Seed of wickedness and seed of righteousness.

• In gen 4:21 there is a man named Jubal who created the Harp and the organ.

• Seth’s Seed did not create the musical instruments…Cain’s seed did.

• Why didn’t God allow the righteous seed to create the music instruments?

• Ezekiel 28 Satan was in charge of Music and he knew the power that music had to create an influence an environment.

• Did Jubal invent the harp?• An instrument somehow revealed to those

living on earth.

• 2 Sam 6:5, 1 chronicles 13:8. The instruments listed during the temple dedication.

• During the dedication of the temple 2 Chr 5:13-15. There was harmony.

The presence of God came when the people worshipped as one. There was no iron tool heard during the building of Solomon’s temple.

There is something special when people are united together, with instruments and united in singing. Its called harmony.

• Nehemiah 12:31… choirs are formed and the custom was for one to sing and 4 or 5 others repeating it in different voices.

• Isaiah 6:1-2 The Seraphim sing one to another.When sang together in heaven if you heard it

would be a harmony.

• Music is DIVIDED INTO RHYTHM, MELODY AND HARMONY.

The Rhythm captures the body, melody the intellect and emotions and harmony the heart.

• When David played the spirit was in Saul’s heart.

average youth or child watches more than 4 hours non-stop tv each day. 124 hours in a month. That’s 9 years of non stop tv if you live to be 65 years old. Watching mostly nothing.

the healing symbol of a cross represents hospitals .• The greatest invention in the field of learning, the

printing press, by Johannes Gutenberg, was also a fruit of the Christian faith. The first book to be printed was the Bible.

• University means one truth and yet some of the things taught are far away from the truth… Evolution, the big bang etc. ost universities began as Christian schools, including Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Oxford, Cambridge . The first lecturers were monks teaching Christian truths.

• Education for the deaf and blind was also pioneered by Christians.
