Let me take this opportunity to introduce you to the Carolina Diamondbacks Softball Organization. The first Diamondbacks softball team was fielded in 2008 as a group of 10 and under players. The original name Goose Creek Diamondbacks represented a small community of young ladies looking for a higher level of competition. Years later the Diamondbacks organization now includes young ladies throughout the South Carolina and is now referred to as the Carolina Diamondbacks. Since then, the organization has over 75 girls teams in 6 different age groups (10u, 12u, 2- 14u, 16u and 18u) and is building a proud tradition of developing girls’ fastpitch softball skills, as well as a desire to field competitive teams that will enjoy success locally and regionally. Even more importantly, the organization has had a positive impact on the lives of Lowcountry area youth, their families, and the community.
This year we are offering an opportunity to local businesses like yours to become Team and/or Organization Sponsors. Your contributions will be targeted exclusively to lower the growing costs of the Organization’s 75+ players, enabling them to fully participate in Organization training programs and local and regional tournaments. Additionally, our Showcase teams will represent our area by playing in numerous state, regional tournaments with their ultimate goal of participating in the National Tournaments held in Florida and California.
The Carolina Diamondbacks Organization is guided by a volunteer only board of directors, coaches and parent volunteers. However, we are different from some other fast pitch teams in that we are a small nonprofit organization that does not receive any governmental or grant assistance.
Our primary revenue source is registration fees paid by families, proceeds from our annual fundraisers, and donations received from generous individuals and businesses.Since these funds do not cover all of the organization’s operating expenses, families often must raise their own funds to pay for equipment, training fees, field rentals, travel, and tournament entry fees. The average cost per player per year to participate is $500-$1000, particularly difficult for families with more than one player and/or modest means.
In order to continue to make this rewarding experience a reality for our youth, we are reaching out directly to area businesses, family, and friends, and offering the opportunity to help by becoming a team or Organization sponsor! Please take a moment to review and select the sponsorship package that best fits your business and budget.

_____ CORPORATE ORGANIZATION SPONSOR:The Carolina Diamondbacks Organization Corporate Sponsors are businesses, Organizations, or individuals that sponsor the Diamondbacks, a specific team, or an event with a minimum sponsor contribution of $2,500 or more. In return for their support, CorporateSponsors will receive the following:• “Platinum Sponsor” benefits (shown below)• Your business will be shown as “Title” or “Major” event sponsor at all organization events, including tournaments, parties, demonstrations, media campaigns (both print and Web), clinics, and organization functions.• We will also create a prominent, fixed, full-color display banner on the Organization website front/landing page.All professional design and production fees are included. Softball families (300+ players) and coaches from the local and regional areas will see your business name and logo on a regular basis as they attend tournaments, training sessions, camps, and practices at either location.

Policy for Team SponsorshipsThe organization has adopted the following policy regarding sponsorships designated for a specific team.1. Any team can freely solicit sponsorships from any person, business, or organization.2. All team sponsorship money must be used for the equipment, uniforms, tournaments, player registrations, clinics, camps, team practice fees, or travel expenses for tournaments.1. Sponsorship money may not be used to hire professional trainers for the team.2. In order to receive tax benefits from the sponsorship, the sponsorship must be made to the Carolina Diamondbacks Softball and identified as a team sponsorship. A percentage (cost of sponsorship) of all team sponsorship will be retained at the organization.3. Prior to receiving a check from the organization, the sponsored team must provide a written and signed statement listing the intended expenditures for the money.4. Once the written statement is received, the organization’s Treasurer will write a check to the designated team representative or vendor described in the receipt of goods. 5. In the event that all the money is not used for the listed approved expenses, the remaining money is to be redirected back to the Organization to be used for cost reduction for Organization players, player scholarships expenses or future registration fees.6.
