Our Program (cont) • Hands-on EHR practice with patient/provider encounter presentations • Final Exam The course is online and self-paced with instructor feedback and assistance as required. All assignments are module-basedand must be completed before progressing to the next module.

Students who complete this comprehensive course will receive a certification of completion from AHDPG and will beprepared to sit for the American College of Medical Scribe Specialists national certification exam.

Prerequisites for the Medical Scribe Training Program for the Practicing Allied Health Professional

• 2-3 years of experience as an allied health professional (CMT/CHDS/CMA preferred but not required) • Successful completion of AHDPG Student Screening Assessment covering: • Anatomy & Physiology • Medical Terminology • English Grammar • Computer Skills including keyboarding (if applicable) • HIPAA & HITECH • Some EHR experience helpful but not required as this is covered in the program!

Note: Courses which would normally target new scribes (those with no previous healthcare experience) will bewaived in this program if the prospective student passes an initial screening exam on these subjects.
