Reading
• Encourage reading as it not only improves general knowledge, it creates better thinkers, shaping one’s character and mind
• Have a scheduled reading time with or for your child

• Encourage the use of wide variety of vocabulary
• Common problem : use of the word “said”
• Can be replace with other forms of said like ‘answered’, ‘bellowed’, ‘shouted’, ‘hinted’, ‘mumbled’ etc.

• Encourage your child to compile list of vocabulary words and phrases
