The distillery showcases the care, skill and creativity behind every drop of Bombay Sapphire, and allows you to discover the flavours of the botanicals which make Bombay Sapphire gin so unique.
For over 225 years, the Victorian and Georgian buildings set astride the crystal-clear River Test produced bank note paper for the Bank of England and the British Empire.
Now, Laverstoke Mill is a sustainable distillery which produces every drop of Bombay Sapphire gin.
The Bombay Sapphire Distillery
BASED AT LAVERSTOKE MILL IN RURAL HAMPSHIRE, 15 MILES FROM WINCHESTER AND 60 MILES FROM LONDON, THE BOMBAY SAPPHIRE DISTILLERY IS IN A CONSERVATION AREA WITH OVER 1000 YEARS OF HISTORY.
Experiences
You are escorted personally around the distillery by a Bombay Sapphire Distillery Ambassador, learning in depth about the history of Laverstoke Mill and Bombay Sapphire, and the rare production process used to make our gin. This experience includes VIP access to our larger production stills, and a cocktail masterclass in the exquisite Empire Room.

You can access our Courtyard and Glasshouses which make a perfect setting for wedding photography. Please note we do not perform marriage services, but we can create the perfect wedding reception, suited for couples looking for a venue with a difference.

The Entrance Hall
The Grade II listed Entrance Hall is an enchanting space for private dining events and supper clubs, with high ceilings and views of the courtyard and glasshouses.

The Mill Bar and Terrace
The Mill Bar is a spacious multi-level bar with both indoor and outdoor seating along the River Test. A unique space for social or networking events, the Mill Bar can also be hired with the adjacent Entrance Hall or Gallery, making space for a dance floor or buffet to complement the bar.

The Vault
The Vault is ideal for intimate gatherings. Adjacent to the Mill Bar, its fully restored original vaulted ceilings and door gives this unique space real character. The Vault can be hired with the Mill Bar in the evening or on its own on an hourly rate during the day.

The exclusive Empire Room is the jewel in the crown of Laverstoke Mill. The Empire Room can be hired throughout the year for Masterclasses, drinks receptions or as a casual meeting space.

The Glasshouses
A real highlight of the Bombay Sapphire Distillery – the two intertwining glasshouses contain living examples of the ten exotic botanicals infused into Bombay Sapphire gin. These iconic glass structures coming out of the River Test make an excellent space for cocktail receptions and atmospheric private dining.

Direct trains run from London Waterloo to Basingstoke, Overton, Whitchurch and Micheldever stations.
We advise you book taxis in advance.
A shuttle bus runs at scheduled times between the distillery, Overton and Micheldever stations. Please check the timetable online in advance.
BY BUS
76 bus between Basingstoke and Andover includes several key stops in Whitchurch and Overton, and stops outside Laverstoke Mill.
BY CAR
Laverstoke Mill is situated on the B3400 (London Road) between Overton and Whitchurch in Hampshire. From the M3/Basingstoke follow signs for Bombay Sapphire along the B3400. From the M4/A34 follow signs to Overton.
PARKING
Parking is free, we have 80 parking spaces including space to park 1 coach.
