About Your MembershipAs a member of BP Motor Club, you are entitled to all servicesand benefits described in this handbook immediately uponreceipt of your membership card and/or membership materials.

l Benefits are available to you and a second householdmember (if applicable), living at the same address with avalid driver’s license.

l Membership benefits and dues are subject to change, uponmembership renewal.

l Future dues will be charged at the then applicable rate.Membership is continuous and will be automaticallyrenewed annually with the membership fee being billedautomatically on your credit card or invoiced to youraddress, depending upon the payment method selected.

l Services and benefits of the Motor Club are only availablein the U. S., Canada, and Puerto Rico, and for incidentsthat occur while your membership is in force.

l Your membership begins on the day your membership kitis mailed by the Motor Club. All road and towing servicesare on a reimbursable basis until member dues have beenpaid.

l Remember, coverage is on the individual member – not thevehicle. You are covered in any car you drive as long as thetype of vehicle is covered as explained within thishandbook. Membership benefits do not covernon-members who drive your car.

Membership Cards

Personalized membership ID card(s) for you and a secondaryhousehold member, if applicable, are included with yourmembership kit. You need your membership number to accessroadside services and other benefits.

Claim Policy

To maintain a high standard of service with fair and reasonabledues for all members, roadside assistance is limited to four (4)paid claims per membership year. Memberships includingassociate members (three or more total members) are limited tofive (5) paid claims per membership year. These services includejump start, flat tire change, fuel delivery, winching (removing astuck vehicle), towing, lockout, lost key service, and claimreimbursement. BP Motor Club will notify you if the limit isreached.

If you exceed the annual claims limit and additional roadsideassistance is needed during a membership year, the Motor Clubwill continue to dispatch service on a “pay per use” basis foryour disabled vehicle. You must pay any resulting servicecharges at the time service is rendered, and these charges arenot reimbursable. The number of service claims for yourmembership will be reset to zero upon each anniversary of yourmembership enrollment.

Cancellation of Membership

BP Motor Club will not cancel your membership withoutgiving you prior written notice. You may cancel at any timeand receive a prorated refund of any unused membershipdues calculated from the cancellation date. The cancellation ofa membership automatically cancels the membership of allother household members.

Failure to repay the Motor Club for any money advanced on yourbehalf is cause for cancellation. The Motor Club reserves theright to deduct any amount owed to BP Motor Club from anyrefund due to you upon cancellation, where permitted by law.

The Motor Club may elect to not renew your membership for anyreason by providing written notice 60 days prior to renewal date.

The Motor Club may terminate your membership for fraudulentuse of services with a minimum of 30 days written notice.

How the Club Works

Roadside Assistance

BP Motor Club provides emergency roadside assistancethrough a network of independent service providers authorizedby the Motor Club to perform road and towing service forMotor Club members. They are located throughout the U. S.,Canada, and Puerto Rico.

Important: Since our authorized service providers areindependent contractors and are not agents or employees ofthe Motor Club, we assume no liability for any damage to amember’s vehicle resulting from the rendering of service or forpersonal items left in the vehicle. Any claims for damage to theproperty or person of a member must be filed against theservicing facility. The Motor Club cannot guarantee repairs, thehours of operation of repair facilities, the promptness ofrepairs, or provide more than one service call per breakdown. Itis the member’s responsibility to arrange for repairs with theservice facility.

Types of Vehicles Covered

The Motor Club offers full road and towing services to vehiclesdesigned, licensed, and used for private on-road transportation,including passenger vehicles, motorcycles, four-wheeled sportutility vehicles, light trucks, and RVs with a carrying capacity ofup to 2,000 pounds. Only jump start and fuel delivery servicescan be provided for dual-wheeled vehicles and for recreationalvehicles and pickup trucks with more than 2,000 poundscarrying capacity.

Special Equipment

Roadside Assistance coverage includes one normally equippedservice vehicle, one driver, and one service call perdisablement, up to a maximum cost of $120. Any costs foradditional personnel or special equipment are not covered, areat the member’s expense, and are not reimbursable.

Extreme Weather

Roadside assistance is designed to render prompt andcourteous service. Emergency situations where the motorist isstranded take priority over a disablement where the motorist isin the comfort of a home or office. We ask for your patienceand understanding when weather or road conditions areextremely bad. If you are unable to obtain service calling1-800-732-9600, then follow the procedures in the If We CannotProvide Service section of How to Obtain Service.

Roadside Assistance IncludesTowing

The service provider will tow your car if it cannot be started ordriven without causing damage. Towing will be limited to 50miles from the point of disablement at no additional charge.Any expenses incurred beyond the 50 mile limit will be yourresponsibility, payable directly to the service provider at thetime of service, and are not reimbursable. Service is limited toone tow or service call per disablement.

Winching

If your vehicle is stuck in mud, sand, snow, or a ditch, and isaccessible from a normally traveled roadway, it will beextricated or winched. Winching is limited to one operator/onetruck for 30 minutes. Any additional expenses will be yourresponsibility, payable directly to the service provider at thetime of service, and are not reimbursable.

Fuel Delivery

If you run out of gas, the service provider will deliver anemergency supply of gasoline/diesel fuel of 2 gallons free ofcharge or tow your vehicle to the nearest gasoline outlet,subject to towing options.

Flat Tire Change

The service provider will change a flat tire with your inflatedspare tire. If, for any reason, your spare is not usable, the lugnuts cannot be removed, or your vehicle has multiple flat tires,towing will be provided in accordance with the towingprovisions. Costs for tire repair, installing a new tire on thewheel, or a second service call to return a tire to the disabledvehicle are not covered.

Jump Start

The service provider will provide a battery jump start or towyour vehicle if your vehicle won’t start due to a dead or weakbattery.

Roadside Assistance Does Not Include

The purpose of roadside assistance is to provide service incommon emergency situations. Coverage does not include:

l Service if member is not with the disabled vehicle. However,do not remain with the vehicle if it is unsafe to do so.

l Towing or service while at an auto repair shop or servicestation, to another location.

l Towing or service on roads not regularly maintained(including private property).

l Repeated service calls for a car in need of routinemaintenance.

l More than one (1) tow per disablement.

l Service when a vehicle is snowbound. Service providers willnot hoist, winch or shovel vehicles from unplowed areas,snow banks, snowbound driveways or curbside parking.

l Service will not be rendered in areas not regularly traveled,such as vacant lots, beaches, off-road recreation areas, openfields or other places that would be hazardous for servicevehicles to reach.

l Installation or removal of snow tires and chains;dismounting, repairing or rotating tires.

l Vehicle storage charges, cost of parts and installation,products, materials, impounding and additional laborrelating to towing.

l Service for taxicabs, tractors, boats, trailers, recreationalvehicles and trucks, dune buggies, vehicles used forcompetition, stolen vehicles, unlicensed vehicles, illegallyparked cars or impounded vehicles.

l Service to vehicles with expired safety inspection sticker,license plate sticker, and/or emission sticker, where requiredby law.

l Service to a vehicle that is not in a safe condition to betowed.

l Transportation for the member to the vehicle for service orfrom the vehicle to another destination after service hasbeen rendered.

l Charging a weak or dead battery.

l Delivery or repair of tires.

l Towing of vehicle off a boat dock or marina.

l Service of any kind on vehicles used for commercialpurposes or using dealer tags.

l Towing at the direction of a law enforcement officer relatedto traffic obstruction, impoundment, abandonment, illegalparking or other violations of law.

l Reimbursement for towing charges covered by automobileinsurance.

l Towing of vehicles for disposal (i.e., to junkyard).

How to Obtain Service

Call 1-800-732-9600 when you need emergency roadsideassistance in the U.S., Canada, or Puerto Rico, 24 hours a day/7days a week.

Provide the following information when you call:

l Membership number.

l Member verification (name and address).

l Location of disabled vehicle (town, state, street address,and/or closest intersection).

l Description of disabled vehicle (year, make, model, color).

l License plate number and state.

l Type of service needed (tow, flat tire, jump start, etc.).

We will contact our service provider and dispatch service toyou while you are on the phone. We will also tell you who willbe coming and the estimated time of arrival.

When the Service Provider Arrives

l Be with your vehicle. An unattended vehicle cannot beserviced. If you cannot remain with the vehicle for safetyreasons, tell the dispatch operator, and an attempt toprovide service will be made.

l Present your membership card and driver’s license to theservice provider.

l After service is complete, verify the information on the callslip provided by the service provider, and sign it (ifapplicable). The Motor Club will pay the service facilitydirectly for any covered dispatch charges. You will beresponsible for paying the service facility directly for anycharges not covered.

Please cancel your request for service immediately if itis no longer needed by calling us back at1-800-732-9600.

If We Cannot Provide Service

l Call any service facility

l After service is completed, pay for the service and obtain areceipt from the provider. The receipt should include theprovider’s name, address, telephone number, date and typeof service rendered.

l Write your name, address and Motor Club membershipnumber on the original receipt.

l Mail the original receipt, within 60 days*, to:

l Keep a copy of the receipt for your records, as we cannotreturn original documents due to auditing requirements.

Claims submitted with incomplete information or without theoriginal receipt will be returned for resubmission.

Your claim will be reimbursed up to a maximum limit of $120per disablement.

* Claims postmarked more than 60 days after the date of the service will not behonored. No time restrictions apply for residents of UT and WI.

Dispatch Guarantee

If we are unable to provide roadside assistance when you call,we will reimburse you up to $240 for covered services youlocate yourself. Reimbursement for lockout service andaccident towing is limited to $120.

Reimbursement Policy

BP Motor Club reserves the right to adjust or deny a claimwhen the:

l Amount paid has exceeded the maximum limit.

l Service rendered is not during the term of activemembership.

l Amount paid contains either parkway or toll-way charges.

l Service rendered is not included under the Motor Clubcoverage.

l Number of claims has exceeded the annual limit.

l State and local taxes are not covered.

Lockout ServiceIf you lock your keys in the car or lose your keys, you will bereimbursed up to $120 for the services of a locksmith. You mustpay for the service and submit the bill for reimbursement.

Arrest BondAn Arrest Bond Certificate up to $1,000* is on the reverse sideof your membership card, which, in most cases, can be usedinstead of your driver’s license or posting a cash bond if youcommit an ordinary moving traffic violation.

You are liable for any loss due to bond forfeiture and you mustimmediately reimburse the Motor Club for the full amount.Failure to repay the Motor Club any bond amount forfeited iscause for cancellation. The Motor Club reserves the right todeduct any amount owed to the Motor Club from any refunddue to you as a result of cancellation of your membership.Legal action will be pursued where permitted by law to recoverany money advanced and not promptly repaid. Staterestrictions may apply.**

The Arrest Bond Certificate does not cover arrest for drivingunder the influence of alcohol or narcotics, driving without avalid driver’s license, felony violations, appeal bonds,appearance bonds, or arrests made pursuant to any warrant.

* Benefit reimbursements are covered by contractual liability policies issued tothe Motor Club.

** Not Accepted in CA, CO, KS, LA, NJ, TX, and WA. Limited to $160 single and$500 multiple in IL; $200 in AR, IA, ID, KY, MI, MS, NE, NM, OH, PA, WI: $300 inAL, AZ; and $500 in CT, MA, OK, WV.

Auto Theft RewardA reward will be paid totaling $5,000 to a private citizen forproviding information to the police that leads to the arrest andconviction of anyone stealing your car. If more than one personqualifies to receive the reward, it will be divided andapportioned equally. The total reward will not exceed $5,000.

How to Obtain Reward

Submit copies of the following items:

l Police report stating that a car owned by a member wasstolen. The report must include the name of the personwho provided the information that led to the arrest, andit must describe the nature of the theft.

l Final court transcript showing that the thief wasconvicted and the person claiming the reward providedthe information leading to the conviction.

The member whose car was stolen, the member’s family, orlaw enforcement officials or their families cannot claim thereward.

Expenses not eligible for reimbursement include, but are notlimited to: medical expenses, gasoline, meals, tips, phone orfax charges, pay per view movies, parking fees, alcoholicbeverages, dry cleaning, and hotel amenities.

Vehicle Repair Check GuaranteeIf your vehicle breaks down and requires roadside or towingservices, repair work, parts or labor not covered by BP MotorClub, you may choose to use a personal check to pay.Although not all service providers accept personal checks, forthose that do, the Motor Club’s Vehicle Repair Check Guaranteeassures that the service provider will receive payment.

The benefit is limited to two (2) checks per 30-day period,totaling no more than $500. If your check is dishonored for anyreason, you will be responsible for repayment of the checkamount plus any penalties incurred by the Motor Club.

Vehicle Repair Service ProgramThe Vehicle Repair Service Program provides information andsupport for vehicle repairs. This program is administered bySonsio, Inc. Sonsio is one of the largest automotivemanagement companies in America, with over 50 millionwarranties in effect through road hazard, nationwide warranty

and certified inspection programs. You can rely on theseexperts for accurate and up-to-date information.

Repair Referral Service*

If your vehicle needs repairs and you do not already have aservice provider you trust and respect, simply call1-800-732-9600, and we will locate the participating auto repairfacilities near your location. We will provide you names,addresses, phone numbers and hours of operation. Mostfacilities meet Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)certification and provide a warranty on repairs. The warrantyterms may vary.

The Motor Club cannot guarantee repairs, hours of operation,promptness of repairs, or provide more than one service callper breakdown. It is the member’s responsibility to make thearrangements with the service facility for repairs.

Warranty Repair Service

If your vehicle was repaired at a recommended participatingrepair facility and the same repair is required due to defectiveparts or workmanship over 50 miles from the original repairfacility within 12 months or 12,000 miles, you can have itrepaired again at another authorized repair facility, and thecost, including parts and labor, up to the original repair costwill be covered.

If you are within 50 miles of the original repair facility, contactthem for the terms of the applicable warranty. If your vehiclecan not be driven, call 1-800-732-9600 for roadside assistanceservice.

This coverage applies to only ordinary non-commercial usevehicles that have received reasonable and necessarymaintenance during the coverage period (twelve months or12,000 miles after the original repair, whichever occurs first).Coverage does not apply in cases of deliberate abuse, accident,or alteration and does not extend to incidental or consequentialloss of any kind.

Call 1-800-732-9600 before any work begins to determine thatyour repair is covered. After confirmation of coverage, providethe repair facility with a copy of the invoice or the receipt forthe original repair. Sonsio will pay the repair facility for anysecond repair performed on your automobile. In the casewhere a facility will not accept payment from Sonsio, pay forthe second repair and request reimbursement by mailing boththe original and second repair invoices to:

Lost Key Return Service

Personalized key tags that fit right on your key chain canimprove the chances of lost keys being returned to you. Uponreceiving your request, we’ll register your return informationwith the special number on the back of the Registered Key Tag.

If someone finds your keys, he or she can just drop them intoany mailbox. The keys will be returned to the Motor Club, andwe, in turn, will send them on to you, postage paid.

None of your personal information is printed on the key tag,and we will not divulge this information to anyone – not evenyou. Your name and address are safe from the finder of yourkeys.
