Social Networking Combining knowledge gained through education (LynnMarie has her MBA from the College of William and Mary), research, and experience, LynnMarie offers insights into topics applicable to today's business world as a Motivational Speaker for the past 20 years. LynnMarie’s book, Yes, He Actually Said That, discusses the lighter side of the verbal world in which we live. Her second business book, Business Tips for Life, offers ideas from many of the seminars she has taught over the past few decades. LynnMarie also works as a Consultant and Executive Coach. LynnMarie currently runs First Fridays Open Network, an Educational and Motivational Lunch‘n Learn in Marietta.

President Bill Callaway presided over the meeting.

Tim Bailey and Charles Lassiter greeted guests at the door.

Ted Hayes conducted the invocation and led the club in the Pledge of Allegiance and Four-Way Test.

Tim Bailey introduced guests and visiting Rotarians while conducting the GRSP raffle. He also gave a short bio on himself.

Earl Reece selected the winning raffle ticket.

Spencer Mullins won a picnic kit in the GRSP raffle.

Charles Lassiter announced that Gordy Nichols had perfect attendance.

David Beam gave sunshine for his daughter Alexis starting at the University of Georgia.

Becky Cameron gave sunshine for her son Cam who just started a teaching job in Forsyth.

Past President Stewart Carlin gave sunshine for his mother who recently saw her first great grandchild.

Past President Sam Ainsworth gave sunshine for those who volunteered at the banquet for the Center for Children and Young Adults.

Tripp Boyer said the banquet for the Center for Children and Young Adults was a great service project.

Reynold Jennings announced a Family of Rotary event taking place on August 24th. Join your fellow Rotarians on the Marietta Square for the band Yacht Rock Schooner. The music starts at 8 p.m. Arrive early and bring your own refreshments.

Member Spotlight

Jim Boone Jim is a lifelong Cobb County resident. He graduated from Osborne High School and West Georgia College with a major in Business and a minor in staying out of Vietnam. Most of Jim’s career involved real estate sales, building empty houses and developing vacant lots. Presently Jim is the owner of a fitness business in Holly Springs. Jim is married to Carol, his wife of 43 years. Jim and Carol have two children and one grandchild. He is also the proud owner of one hole in one earned on the golf course.
