AHSCON-2020: Pre-Conference workshop at Mobility India

On 1st February 2020, half-a-day pre-conference workshop was conducted at Mobility India

premises on “Prosthe�cs and Ortho�cs Service Provision Interdisciplinary and Mul�-disciplinary

approach”. Dr. Umesh Babu. S B, Syndicate Member, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences,

Karnataka inaugurated the workshop. Over 70 allied health professionals a�ended the

programme.

Mobility India has always taken ini�a�ves to equip the students pursuing the Prosthe�cs and

Ortho�cs courses with high end knowledge and skills so as to prepare them for their future.

During the current academic year, students were sent for internship to various organiza�ons, so

as to get hands on experience in their field of study. The main objec�ve of encouraging students

ANNUAL SPORTS-2020This is one of the much awaited events of the year!

Annual indoor and outdoor sports were organised for students from 19th to 22nd February 2020.

Sports compe��on was inaugurated by Former weight li�er and Vice-President of Indian

Weightli�ing Federa�on Mr. Kumbasi Subramanya.

This sports event exhibited the physical and mental fitness of students in different ac�vi�es like

Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis, Cricket, Relay, Shotput, etc.,

CULTURAL FESTIVAL - MIRAAS 2020GALA TIME!

MIRAAS is an annual cultural event for students to showcase their talents and energe�c performances in variety of cultural events such as dance (semi-classical, folk and freestyle), singing, cooking, Mimes, Fancy dress, ramp show, theme based rangoli etc.

The cultural event was conducted from 11th to 13th March 2020. Experts from respec�ve fields were invited as judges for the events.

2ND PARENTS - TEACHERS INTERACTION

The 2nd Parents-teachers interac�on for parents of Bachelor in Prosthe�cs and Ortho�cs

students was conducted on 7th March 2020. This mee�ng was aimed to discuss about the

academics, behavioural, social well-being, future job prospects.

On this occasion a keynote speech by Dr. Ali Khwaja, Chairman and Principal Faculty of Banjara

Academy on “Conver�ng your learning into prac�cal skills” was organised for parents, students

and facul�es. The session gave an insight on how to keep oneself mo�vated throughout life and

importance of balancing success and failures.

Achievements:In recogni�on to the experience, knowledge and skill demonstra�on in innova�on in the field of

Prosthe�cs and Ortho�cs, Mr. Soikat Ghosh Moulic, Associate Director-Technical & Quality

Systems (Rehabilita�on services & product development), was awarded the “1ST TYNOR nd

LEADERSHIP AWARD FOR INNOVATION” during the 2 Na�onal Conference of Indian

Associa�on of Assis�ve Technologists on “Assis�ve Technology in Neuro Rehab” held on 22nd

and 23rd December 2019 at Chandigarh.

Success of an innova�on lies in the user sa�sfac�on. Knowledge sharing of success helps to reach

out more people to benefit with the innova�on.A study was conducted on the user sa�sfac�on on the Twin device used by children with delayed developmental milestones using the QUEST evalua�on tool from the users across India and Bangladesh.

The study was shared with different professional groups during the various Conferences

conducted in 2019-20.
