MBCC Recovery Initiatives COVID-19: Is the MBCC Open?
State of FL Dept. Emergency Management, US Army Corps of Engineers, Miami Dade County & City of Miami Beach officials designated MBCC as an alternate care facility (ACF).
The ACF has not been activated for patient care.
Miami Dade Emergency Order 24-20 issued May 31 does not include convention centers and large-scale venues.
MBCC in active consultation with public health officials & event organizers for calendar updates.
MBCC is developing venue measures for a return to hosting events in the “new normal.”

Face Coverings at the MBCC
Face coverings are required indoors &
outdoors by the City of Miami Beach.
Miami Dade County also has a face coverings
requirement.
Face coverings are worn at the MBCC, especially if social distancing cannot
be achieved.
Face coverings and social distancing together protect our health.
MBCC staff underwent training for proper PPE
use, including face coverings
Sanitizing Frequently Touched Surfaces (FTS)& Products Used
• Frequently Touched Surfaces (FTS) include tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, etc.
• Use EPA Registered Disinfectants as recommended by the CDC.
• Clean first, then sanitize
• Products used at the MBCC are recommended for commercial kitchens, schools, healthcare and hospitality facilities.
• Products used at the MBCC kill viruses including HIV-1 (the AIDS Virus), HBV, MRSA, VRE, KPC, Acinetobacter, Human Coronavirus and other pathogens in 3 minutes.
• Products used also kill fungus, inhibiting the growth of mold and mildew.
• MBCC reduces touchpoints and minimize cross contamination.

State of FL Department of Health COVID-19 & PPE Training for all MBCC Employees.
Participate in industry association and affiliate training opportunities: IAEE, PCMA, GMBHA, IAVM, ESCA, etc.
