President William M Wilson began a Globalization Initiative to reach millions of people with whole person education that was unique to ORU He secured $8M in funding to convert an old TV studio into a state-of-the-art Global Learning CenterPresident Wilson Board of Trustees and Chief Designer desired Augmented and Virtual Reality to be the anchor technology used to reach millions The TV studio took 38 years to reach 50-million people and with augmented realities like Pokeacutemon Go which reached 50 million people in 38 days ORU was committed to designing a campus wide approach with AVR After 12 months

Rational for IDC and Enterprise AVR Investment

As a research university with a history of innovation ORU desired the following to differentiate their award winning reputation ad curriculum

1 Allow research professors to invest their lives work into quicker and further research with AVR

2 Allow an entire enterprise edition of AVR that spanned smart-phone connections around the world to full immersion VR environment for in-person and broadcast capability

3 Ownership by ORU in a proprietary system through the IDC that allowed a 5-10 year investment Devices will change but the investment in the enterprise platform will be constant over the next 5-10 years

4 Connect at every level of education industry sports and entertainment that would accommodate all 100 programs alumni and industry while building an international AVR learning commons
