2013 RUMBA Contest
Re-Used Materials Becoming ArtWHAT? WHEN? WHERE? Calling all
Students, Educators and Community Groups in the Tucson Area! Tucson
Clean &
Beautiful invites you to participate in the RUMBA showcase and
competition to be held at the 2013 SAHBA Spring Home &
Patio Show at the TCC. Items on display Friday April 5 &
Saturday April 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday
April 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Entries must be picked up
at closing time no earlier than 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
PROJECT REQUIREMENTS: R.U.M.B.A. creations must be
three-dimensional and no larger than 2x3 to fit on tables, o
larger pieces that can be freestanding. Any previously-used
materials can be used to make recycled art for R.U.M.B.A.
Scraps of plastic, paper, wood, metal, old toys, and parts of
broken things are the foundation for this type of art. Individuals
o
all ages and artistic abilities, school classrooms/clubs, and
organizations of all affiliations are invited to enter recycled art
for
display. Entries will be selected to receive special prizes and
certificates that will be awarded following the event. All
entries
will receive a certificate of participation. Adult/Professional
art is for display only.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Please return the registration form below by
Friday March 22, 2013 Registration forms are
accepted by mail, fax, or email. R.U.M.B.A. entries may be
delivered on Thursday April 4th, 2013 between 2:00-6:00 p.m.
to the SAHBA Home & Patio Show at the Tucson Convention
Center located at 260 S. Church Ave.
