Housing - Plans for 2011

Since November 2010 Linbrooks have been our new Repairs & Maintenance contractor

Repairs reporting through estate offices will begin by summer 2011

Resident Involvement Strategy – more ways for people to become involved in their estate

An initial tenant profile survey has begun, however, we need your responses to be sure the profile is accurate

A new procedural manual is to be issued to all estate offices

Pram Shed Costs and Revenue

Each pram shed costs £2.00 per week to rent, making a total payable of £102.00 per year.

There are currently 160 pram sheds on Middlesex Street Estate.

Of the revenue collected Middlesex Street Estate is allocated 20% to spend on the estate.

Therefore, the estate will benefit by a yearly sum of £3,328.

Spending of this income is to be agreed with the Residents’ Association. The money spent will be on communal improvements.

Plans for 2011 - Middlesex Street Estate Major projects- the introduction of an Automatic Number Plate

Recognition System (ANPR) at the Middlesex Street Car Park to be installed during the month of March

Affordable housing works to begin by the summer 2011 with the building of community facilities in the ground floor of the Car Park

Elderly and disabled internal decorating at Petticoat Tower Staffing changes- the introduction of an apprentice trainee in the

North Area Coffee mornings for all residents supported by the estate staff and

local police Support for residents from Wendy Giaccaglia – Resident

Involvement Officer To decide on a use for the defunct Car Park Office which will benefit

residents at Middlesex Street To continue to promote the use of the guest flats
