Midwinter Break in Londonwith Ms. Dolan and Ms. Turner
“Insider’s London” through ACIS
Trip Overview• February 13-21, 2016 (Midwinter Break)• Through ACIS educational tour company• Open to Ingraham students (9th – 12th grade)
Feb 13 – Overnight Flight to London
• 9-10 hour flight (if non-stop… which it might not be)• Sleep on the plane!!
Feb 14 – Arrive and Explore• Relax and unpack• Venture out in small groups to explore
the city–Visit neighborhoods near our centrally
located hotel–Ride the Tube!–Many museums in London are FREE!
Feb 15 – City Tour, Theater
• Morning Sight-seeing tour– Parliament, Big Ben– Trafalgar Square– St. Paul’s Cathedral
• Free Afternoon to explore• West End theater
– Workshop– Performance
Feb 16 – The Monarchy• Start at Kensington Palace, bicycle tour
around Hyde Park
• Visit to Windsor Castle – built by Normans and currently the official residence of the Queen
Feb 17 – London through the ages• Tower of London opening ceremonies• Tour of the reconstructed Globe Theater• Fish and Chips lunch at Tate Modern • Free Afternoon • Jack the Ripper Tour
Feb 18 – Stonehenge and BathVenture beyond London to The ancient, mysterious StonehengeLovely and historic Bath• Tour the Roman baths• Have tea like Jane Austen!
Feb 19 – Oxford, Stratford, Royal Shakespeare Company
• Guided tour of Oxford– Free time for Lunch and Shopping
• Visit Shakespeare’s hometown, Stratford-upon-Avon
• See a theater performance at the Royal Shakespeare Company (if an RSC show is not available, an alternative performance in London will be substituted).
Feb 20 – Explore the city!• On your own (in groups of 3+) or in small
groups with Ms. Turner/Ms. Dolan
Feb 21 – Depart for home
Program Fee $3,651Includes:-Round Trip Flights, surface transportation-ACIS Tour Manager – with us all the time-3 or 4 star hotel accommodations, centrally located-excursions, tours, cultural activities (all entrance fees, tickets)-daily breakfast and dinner with authentic cuisine-Basic trip protection plan and insurance coverage
This includes a $300 discount when you enroll by August 1st, 2015!

Additional CostsNECESSARY:• Spending money for lunches• Tip for the tour manager • Passport fees (good for 5-10 years!)– Students with US Citizenship will not need a visa.
