Mifgashim - Kabbalat Shabbat with the Daniel Centers While Jews exist in all shapes, sizes, colors and languages, the one factor that unites them all is the experience of their Jewish faith. Israel is a meeting ground for the Jews of the world, where all are invited to explore their faith and to forge ties with each another.

In the spirit of connecting Jews from congregations worldwide to Israelis, the Daniel Centers welcome visiting congregations to experience Shabbat alongside Israeli congregants.

Visitors are brought into the community for lively Friday night services and then spend dinner conversing with Israeli congregants, sharing experiences, thoughts and dreams, realizing the vision of kol Yisrael achim.

It is through these mifgashim (encounters) that the Daniel Centers work to link together Jewish communities worldwide.

Walking Tours – Explore Tel Aviv and Jaffa with the Daniel Centers The vibrant port city of Jaffa, just south of Tel Aviv, is a microcosm of Israeli society. From the bustling flea market to the artists' galleries that overlook the Mediterranean Sea, Jaffa tells the story of Israel's past and present and even a glimpse into the future.

Through a variety of different topics, our tours in Jaffa explore how the ancient roots of the city brought about the dynamic atmosphere that exists today.

The Jonah and Jaffa tour explores the very port in which Jonah began the voyage that would test the meaning of faith.

The Bread and Butter tour traces the history of the land and people through the taste and smell of fresh bread that wafts down the Jaffa alleys.

The Co-existence Tour brings together a Jewish and Arab tour guide to explore the mixed city of Jaffa, where Arabs and Jews live side by side, tracing the different historical narratives and the possibility of creating a common future and shared society.
