Norway’s established and emerging design talents focus on the collective exploration of community and sustainability in an exhibition curated by acclaimed creative studio Kråkvik&D’Orazio.

An enormous Maestà Soffrente created by Gaetano Pesce will sit in front of Milan’s famous cathedral, marking not only the 50th anniversary of B&B Italia’s iconic UP5&6 armchair, but as a metaphor to highlight the mistreatment of women.

Stellar Works and Agapecasa collaborate to form ‘Behind the Scenes’ at Galleria Teatro Manzoni, an installation referencing their own dramatic interpretations of theatre. New collections from Neri&Hu, Space Copenhagen, Yabu Pushelberg, OEO Studio and Tom Fereday will feature.

Living Divani celebrates its 50th Anniversary and Piero Lissoni’s 30th year as Art Director by creating a maze of mirrors within the Palazzo Crivelli. Spectacular reflections, shadow and light highlight the limited edition “Uncollected Collection”, which will be exhibited for the first time.

9. Studiopepe – Les Arcanistes
Studiopepe’s latest project for Milan unfolds within a previously unseen industrial space, once used in the 1900s for the manufacturing of gold. The exhibition explores the ‘strong interconnection between matter and the archetypal power of symbols’ and will showcase bespoke pieces, re-editions of historic items and artists’ multiples.

IB studio presents a 1:10 scale model of their adaptable, transportable and sustainable home concept. The cabin is expressive of sailboat construction, developed from a manual system of ropes, pulleys and cranks, allowing 20 configurations and covering just 27m2.

AQUA. Leonardo’s Vision is a site-specific immersive experience set within the Conca dell’Incoronata, a disused canal lock, transforming it into a window to a future Milan.

17. Alcova + Alcova Sassetti
A former cashmere factory, perfectly preserved since the 1930s, has been added to the abandoned panettone factory for the expanding Alcova exhibition. Developed by Space Caviar and Studio Vedèt, these two sites will become platforms for exhibitions, talks, installations and screenings throughout the week. Lambert & Fils, Supaform, Formafantasma, and Bloc Studios are just a few of the exhibitors.

Benjamin Hubert and surface specialist Cosentino create ‘Raytrace’, a 25m long and 6m high immersive triangular passage, seemingly balanced on a single edge within a dark, atmospheric space, which evokes a feeling of being underwater and creates an illusion of an infinite space.
