Biff; does not impress willys old boss to get a job and realizes they live a world of lies-after a confrontaaion in a restaurant. They leave him alone and go out with two girsl- at home Biff tries to make Will understand teir condition; he refuses- willy decides to kill himself fotr the insureance money- reactions at the funeral diametrically opposed

As to social values; worshipping of success, pursuit of fortune; illusion of appearance- substitute of moral values - depends on recognition and wealth to conside r himself a human being - false values are transmitted to hjis sons - false premises of unlimited possibilities depended on personal attractiveness, good talk, having a popular figure Not to like but to be well liked - a queston of degree the more you have -Flaws-blind to his sons mistakes--encouragestheir weaknesses, inflates their images of themselves;-misconstructs the ideal of fatherhood ; Biff: drives without a license; steals ball, pen etcBernard: son of the neighbour Charley: warns him about the math teachers threat to fail him- ask Bernard to help him.
