MUSICAL! What are we up to?
FAME JR is well and truly underway with only 3 weeks until we
are on stage in the school hall. Our Cast and Crew are hard at
work finalising scenes and putting the finishing touches on
costumes. It is all rather exciting at the moment! A huge thank
you goes out to Miss Dorey and Miss Elms for dropping in and
lending a hand with choreography and scene work.
The show is looking absolutely amazing so please make sure
you grab a ticket or two from our school office. ON SALE NOW!

Reminder for BACKSTAGE CREW: you are needed from Week
6 onwards in our rehearsals so please pick up a copy of the
rehearsal schedule from Mrs Richards and Mr Neill in H block
staffroom

MUSICAL – FAME JR
Tshanti Rose-Parry (Year 9) competed at the Schoolgirls
13-15 years AFL State Championships held in Cairns
from the 9-13th May and Captained the Capricornia
Team. She was also lucky enough to be selected for the
QLD Country Schoolgirls Team.

Q Parents Calendar of Events
STUDENT MESSAGES Mirani State High School DOES NOT HAVE a pager system for students. Please arrange with your
child PRIOR TO SCHOOL any changes or appointments to their day. Only UNFORSEEN
CRITICAL EMERGENT messages will be delivered to students. The student is required to bring a
note for his/her teacher when leaving for an appointment. Alternatively the student can come to the
office and ask for a ‘request to leave’ slip to give to their teacher so they can leave the classroom.
STUDENTS WHO ARE ABSENT – PHONE 49667160 Please let the school know if your student will be absent through sickness, family reasons, holidays
etc. When calling the school, please phone the absentee line on 49667160 and leave a message
regarding the absence.
MIRANI SHS P&C
P&C Meetings are every 2nd TUESDAY of the Month during school terms at 7.00pm in the
Common Staffroom.
TUTORING – MATHS AND ENGLISH
Maths tutoring is on Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday 3.10 to 4.00pm in D04
English tutoring is on Wednesday afternoons from 3.15 – 4.15pm
Year 7 students are in H19 / Years 8-12 are in H18
