• I will be looking at different Indie bands as there will be an indie group a the feature of the magazine

• I am going to analyse the Mise en Scene so that I can try and replicate the clothing and make up and the mood of the photographs for my magazine

• I want to get the CLAMPS in the images in my magazine as realistic and as close to the genre that I am working with so the magazine will be believable to the readers

BICYCLE PHOTOThe mood of this photo is very original and ‘fly on the wall’, creating an edgy look for the audience. The fact that it is set on the streets connotes an element of not caring and being young and free.

The props used, bikes and the camera, show that they are they like to have fun and still young at heart, connoting child like behaviour and freedom.

They are wearing simple clothing which is common among indie bands. The girl in the middle wears a band t-shirt which is stereotypically ‘indie’ and so is the fact that the white t-shirt has rolled up sleeves.

NME MAGAZINEThe mood of this image from the NME magazine shoot is another playful image of the indie trio. The background is plain making the audience focus on the band and only the band. this is similar to the notion magazine cover as it too has a plain (black)cover but the two magazines both have very different images with opposing connotations which related back the magazine company and its individual style.

NOTION MAGAZINEThe mood of this photo is very different to the NME Magazine, it has a much darker mood as opposed to the happy, care free one. The mysterious look shows there are two different sides to the band and connotes an older more mature feel for the band.

They are wearing darker clothing in this image and the lighting is much darker enforcing the mysterious and eerie mood created.

Even though the notion magazine shoot ids very moody and dark this is another image from the shoot which shows them going back to their playful roots.
