Balancing Act Rev. Julie Sanders, Tarkio/Westboro UMCs Rev. Julie Sanders is a wife, mother and Pastor. She is responsible for leading two congregations in rural North-west Missouri. Julie balances both work and family life using block time giving her the flexibility needed for both ministry and personal life.

Developing & Mentoring Young Leaders Rev. Jeffrey Waters, La Croix UMC Rev. Jeffrey Waters works with 18-25-year-old folks to help them grow in this crucial time of their lives. The college ministry is called Ignite and is primarily on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University. He also serves as a bridge between Ignite and La Croix UMC.

Missional Focus: The Shop: New Ways to Reach God’s People Rev. Janis Roorda and Dee Ann Heck, Mound City UMC The Shop was founded in 2017 with the goal of having a neutral space to do ministry. It now operates under a multi-denominational board providing Bible/book studies, supporting teachers and schools, empowering adults/teens, and hosting support groups. The Shop is the missional focus for the PAUMCS 20/20 Conference.

Encourage, Equip & Empower Outreach Rev. Tina Harris, Director of Mission, Service & Justice Director Rev. Tina Harris knows that God is using her to “encourage, equip, and empower people using the Word of God.” If you ask Tina what is one word that would describe the theme of her life, she would answer “SHINE.” She be-lieves that God lovingly and purposely handcrafted us to SHINE - and we should do so in every area of our lives.

Closing Worship Preacher Rev. Cody Collier, Assistant to the Bishop of the Missouri Annual Conference Rev. Cody Collier received a Master of Divinity degree from the Interdenominational Theological Center, where he received the James H. Clark Preaching Award. He has served churches in Georgia, Tennessee, and Missouri. He presently serves as the Assistant to the Bishop. His family includes his wife, Sharon, and three daughters.

Dr. Shelly Brooks-Sanford, Population Health Manager, Wespath Benefits and InvestmentsShelly began her work life as a family practice physician; then feeling a strong sense of call into ministry, graduated from Perkins and was ordained elder in the Central Texas Annual Conference. She has 20 years of pastoral experience in churches of all sizes and served as a District Superintendent. Shelly joined Wespath in 2012, combining her health and ministry background in a focus on health and well-being for clergy, lay employees and their families.

Mr. Haney facilitates trainings for United Methodist churches, districts, and annual conferences. Additionally, John creates online training opportunities for the church. John has a background in local church work, publishing, and graphic design. The focus for the workshop will be on telling stories of faith and sharing messages through social media is vital in our digital world. During this workshop participants will learn about social media platforms, upcoming trends, and how to utilize emerging tools for maximum community engagement.

Rev. Charity Goodwin­Rosario is a Certified Daring Way Facilitator (CDWF), Saint Paul School of Theology MDiv, and current pastor of Discipleship at Missouri UMC. Her call is to live, teach, and inspire healing and wholeness. From parenting and particularly with a child who has autism, leading within a congregation, to finding ways to love and care for herself while recovering from perfectionism and over functioning, this body of work has been an encouraging companion, a developing skill set, and a healing lifestyle.

PAUMCS MISSION STATEMENT The mission of the Professional Administrators of The United Methodist Connectional Structure is to provide a supportive base for the unity and fellowship of its members in order to provide individual growth, professional development, continuing education, and spiritual enrichment. A BRIEF HISTORY The Professional Administrators of The United Methodist Church Connectional Structure was organized on April 14, 1982, in Dallas, Texas. Since the beginning, meetings have been held annually, a quarterly newsletter published, by–laws and logo adopted, working committees appointed, chapters organized, and Certification Institute established.

Legislation was adopted at the 1988 General Conference stating the General Council on Finance and Administration (GCFA) has the authority and responsibility: “To provide guidance and consultation for continuing education of church secretaries, including establishment of training and certification programs, and to provide assistance to the Professional Association of United Methodist Church Administrators.” (United Methodist Book of Discipline, 2012, ¶807.19). CERTIFICATION The Institute for Professional Administrators of The United Methodist Connectional Structure is an online certification course. All United Methodist church administrators, general agency, episcopal, district and annual conference office personnel may sign-up. Only national PAUMCS members whose annual dues are paid are eligible for certification after successfully completing the course of study.
