Why do we use it?

It makes your research paper professional!It helps you avoid plagiarism! PLAGIARISM: is a very serious offense. It is

using another author’s words and claiming them as your own by not citing them in your paper. If done, it can lead to serious consequences.

It organizes your writing process.You will use it 9-12 grade and into college.

What does the first page look like?1. 12 point size font2. Times New Roman font3. 1” margins all around4. Page numbers on all

pages: Example: Lewis 1, Lewis 2, Lewis 3 etc.

What does the last page look like?

The “Works Cited” page comes at the very end of your research paper. It is an alphabetical list of sources (books, encyclopedias, websites and journals) that you have quoted in your paper.
