Newly established student committee

After so many years of discussion, finally the long awaited Student Committee has been formally established. MM-FEUI Batch II/2013 received an honor to be the one who pull the trigger. MM-FEUI newsletter made a short interview with the Managerial Team of MM-FEUI Student Committee:

Q: In one sentence, please describe the objective of this organization:

A: A vessel for the community of civitas academica in Magister Manajemen Universitas Indonesia (MM-FEUI), striving for global competencies and preserve social responsibilities.

Q: What are the benefits of joining this organization?

A: Organizational experience, and most importantly, extensive networking of civitas academica and active practitioners.

“The president of ABEST21, Prof. Fumio Itoh, was satisfied with our progress”.

ABEST21 Kaizen Report ABEST21’s reviewers, Prof. Fumio Itoh, Prof. Dr. Gagaring P and Reza B. Nasution Ph.D.,

visited MM-FEUI on 2 Oct to perform a formal evaluation of MM-FEUI’s Kaizen Report 2013.

13 action plans were presented to the reviewers. In summary, all reviewers were satisfied

with the progress that have been made by MM-FEUI. Issues for improvement were discussed

afterward.

In the same time, the Dean of FEUI, Prof. Ari Kuncoro, appreciates MM-FEUI’s strive for a

continuous improvement by working with international accreditation body, such as ABEST21.

He encourages other program at FEUI to acknowledge the positive impacts of international

accreditation toward the quality of education in their respected program.

Q: What are the activities?

A: The committee’s activities are surrounded with social activities like MM UI Berbagi, educational activities like public classes and educational visits to universities abroad. For future activities, Student Committee is devising a plan for national competitions and Seminar Day.

Q: How to join and contribute?

A: Every active student is a member of the committee. Active students are encouraged to join the managerial members through recruitment process, which is conducted semiannually. Based on the objective of the committee, the students are allowed to share their inputs through direct contacts or emails to managerial members of the committee. For big events, Student Committee will have open recruitment process, encouraging the students to contribute actively as event committees.

MM-FEUI Kaizen Report 2013 Presentation for ABEST21 Accreditation.

The focus of MM-FEUI action plan includes:

(1) Socialization of new mission statement; (2) Strengthening rela-tionships with stakeholders; (3) Building global network; (4) Im-proving the quality of program; (5) Improving the quality of service (staff training, HR planning, build-ing renovation and maintenance).

PRUDENTIAL Scholarship MM-FEUI collaboration with Prudential Life Insurance has reached

another milestone. Prudential has been supporting MM-FEUI since

2012 on various academic program and activities, including offering

scholarship to prospective Actuarial students.

On 12 September 2014, four MM-FEUI students has been awarded

full scholarship by Prudential: Apro Mefanda, Larissa Rucita, Ade

Ibadurrohman, and Christina Kusuma Dewi. They are the winner

of bi-annual Actuarial Scholarship Competition. The competition

consist of essay writing, case analysis, and case presentation.

The new batch of MM-FEUI got their baptism of fire at FEUI

Depok. The two days—full of action orientation has indicated that

this batch is a formidable force, eager to be reckoned. They were

highly competitive in every level, from selling competition, tree of

life, yell competition, to the infamous mouse catching race.

A new cafeteria has been opened on 17 October

2014. It is located on the east wing of MMUI

building. It is managed by PT. Kreasi Tifadata, which

has 13 years of experience in restaurant industry.

Cafenesia offers Indonesian and international cuisine at a

reasonable price.

MISKIRAN Pak Miskiran has joined MM-FEUI for more than 10 years. He has been known for his bold confidence (even when dealing with the presidential guard), and his ability to eloquently mingle with students. We are proud to have him in our team. He always been reliable and has proved to be a good helping hand in our time of need. Please give him a big smile whenever you see him at the front desk.
