MINUTES:Thank you for the snacks and refreshments. Rev. David Wiggs taught the last of three weeks on Spiritual Formation. Our own Rob Reck will teach us with humor and insight this week.

GUESTS: Robert & Arlene Fulton and Terry Thomas on 10/23. Mike & Pam Farrimond and Molleigh McCann on 10/30. We were also thrilled on 10/30 to welcome home Maranatha family members Rick & Melanie Evans, who will be moving back to Tulsa sometime in 2017.



FINANCE: Class expenditures: For any requested class expenditure, please contact a member of the Finance Committee: Bob Russell, Jim Embrey, Dave Grim or Karen Campbell (Emeritus) & Jim McCann. Since we have not yet sold the paintings that David Cooley generously donated, we are exploring other options of potentially selling them through Ziegler’s or Richard Neel Interiors. If anyone else has suggestions for methods to sell them, please contact Ed or Judith Payton.

Christmas Auction & Dinner: – Friday, December 2, 2016 at Tulsa Country Club, $40 per person (scholarships available). We are looking for auction items in the following categories:

The Maranatha Social Committee has met and established dates for next year's Class Socials. Those dates will be distributed shortly and then everyone will be able to schedule their Auction Parties. Once you know the dates for the Class Socials (so you can avoid those weekends), you can start submitting your Event Auction Items either online or by paper form (available at class). Andrea announced that Rob Davis was scheduled to be released from the hospital after almost two weeks and she was grateful that he could go home.



Nikki, daughter-in-law of Judith & Ed Payton had surgery on Tuesday during which the doctors are hopeful they removed all of her cancer. She has a lot of healing to do, but the Payton family is celebrating!

Janet Purinton has been attacking her rehabilitation and therapy sessions at OMM with her usual vigor and is working hard with the hope of being released to go home sometime in November. Visits and cards are very much appreciated.

Jim Embrey’s sister Pam has begun chemotherapy to battle breast cancer and declares herself ready for the fight.

Sean, a friend of Glenna Arnott has been diagnosed with cancer of the tongue and had surgery to remove numerous lymph nodes and half of his tongue. He hoped to be released from the hospital this week.



Lee Ann Nichols’ daughter is having medical tests and issues for which Lee Ann would like our prayers.

Meredith Wansley has a colleague who was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Pam Sherman’s grandson was taken to the ER for assistance in passing a kidney stone.

Bethany Willyard will be having surgery to relieve chronic pain in her back.

Pam Sherman recently fell and injured her knee.
