HEBREWS 12:1-3 (NIV)Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that

so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,

2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

BereavementOur condolences to the family of the late:• Mdm Doris Phua Mui Lang

Sanctuary Lift – Update We have managed to procure the elusive spare parts for the Sanctuary lift, so it is now working. However, as the rest of the lift is very old, in order to extend its lifespan, we would like to request that the lift only be used by worshippers who need it (i.e. the elderly, those with mobility issues and on wheelchairs, and those with prams and strollers). In the meantime, we will continue to explore the feasibility of replacing the whole lift with a new one. Thank you for your kind cooperation.

PrayerFocus1. As our church’s financial year draws to a close, we thank God for His provision and for granting us the grace to work with Him to reach out and bless the community and the nations. Commit to Him the new financial year which begins in August and seek His guidance that we may continue to manage His resources with prudence and generosity.

2. Rev Dr Kow Shih Ming, Rev Dr Jonathan Seet and Ps Emanuel Goh will be taking up their new appointments from August at PLMC, Pentecost Methodist Church and Ang Mo Kio Methodist Church respectively. May the Lord be with them to continue to build them up and grant them fruitful ministries.

3. Our prayers are with the peoples around the world whose lives have been affected by monsoon floods, wild fires and wars. Let us continue to pray that they will receive help in a timely manner. May the Lord move the hearts of more of His children to come forward with His love, time and resources to give a helping hand.

4. Trade and diplomatic tensions have been rising – between China and the USA, between Japan and South Korea, and in other parts of the world. Let us continue to pray for world leaders that they will not look after their own interests only but find solutions that will benefit all.

We pray in the mighty name of Christ. Amen.

TestimoniesWe welcome testimonies of God’s work in your life as an encouragement to others! Please email your testimony to [email protected], along with your name and contact details.
